    added more features(audio and error handling) and ran some tests with my compressor: 20GB game compressed to 5.23GB in 12 minutes vs f95zone compressor: 4.8GB in 35 minutes on my laptop, so not as good for compression but significantly faster

    theres a couple of compressors on f95, the one i tested against was one i used on windows before

    i used the highest setting on both, i could probably match the size but its close enough and the quality is still important

    since i switched back to linux the tools i was using to compress games does not work without wine, so to skip the headache i made my own game compressor, still in the testing phase

    so off topic, i made this. ignore the actual fic on the screen it was only a test. now i can enjoy my stories off line. Anyway still modding and stuff mainly been busy irl

    i've been doing something similar, but i've had to copy/paste them from the authors website. each. page. one by one. cause they are OLD and then turn them into epubs through calibre ><'' I guess it's a blessing the author has left her work incomplete and i didn't have that many pages to convert...
    also, i honestly forgot fanfiction.net was a thing..

    I was thinking of moving to Linux but i was worried i might not be able to play my games on it lol
    have you tried yt-dl-helper? just tried it and it still works fine, new pipe still works too if you want something for android phone/tablet

    @vanillaGlue those work but for some reason would toss errors when I downloaded whole playlist. It would download half the playlist then toss an error

    can i ask how many videos are usually on the playlist? i haven't had any problems downloading like.. 100 video playlist.. in any case, clearly your smart enough to make work arounds so YAY!

    For those curious on my newest patched build of beyond eden, heres how i removed steam drm from the game. renpy calls the badge function to call steam_api.dll and i just overwrote it with a dummy class so nothing happens

    arcadie cold lands mod menu, to edit stats click on the number and input new value , btw this game has 25+ stats and some are unused in the demo. it should work for the full game too. Its in my permanent link for mods (a few status posts down). as always extract into /game

    I'd like to know why some devs do that. are they afraid people are going to steal their code for their own games? do they just hate the people who code dive for funsies?

    @vanillaGlue couple of reasons, to prevent cheating, some devs have premium features you have to pay for, to protect custom code and if it has drm (mainly steam drm) to prevent pirating

    I know cog staff for example have come out couple of times against cheating/mods and only reluctantly allow talking about it on the forums

    heres my custom rpa unpacking tool, less advanced than rpatool, i coded it to work with custom headers so no manual patching for custom rpa formats. drop it in /game and run inside a terminal "python rpa_extract.py unpack" rpa extractor. repacking uses the pack command

    one small feature is the custom repacking, on extract it logs all files in a database to repack with the pack command. i added this because i worked with a game that had 5k files in the game folder, so i can extract, copy all the rpy files then repack all the other files to get them out of the way without manually typing the names of the files to repack with rpatool

    the custom rpa formats like the ones from the DMA games should work

    Do not delete "rpa_manifest" to repack the files, it needs that to restore the rpa files

    Man I had to code my own rpa extractor for infinite stars because rpatool would toss errors when it tried to extract the files for some reason. Literally the only game this has happened on

    @akmu i seen you react and thought to share something :public to patron converter it enables all patron content in the public version of infinite stars extract and put it in /game folder

    Apparently you're not allowed to share mods without the approved Releaser role ...I should have read the rules tbh. I asked for the role but til then I'll stop posting mods . Oops

    That's just a rule they put in but they're more likely not to give the role.They like having only their little clique in charge of releasing content.Ur better off sharing them privately with those who want them.After all ur modding them.I remember them telling off someone who tried to post mods before.

    Been looking at old renpy games (on engines 6-7) and seeing how difficult it is to port them to renpy 8 then I find someone else has already done it. Fine let me not have any fun :/

    unziped a renpy game and decompiled the scripts nearly 5k files just dumped in the /game folder. no sub folders.....WHY would the dev do this ????

    One of the free VN I love is Cinderella phenomenon and people are shitting on it. Because of a romance route between the MC and their step brother, maybe I'm weird but they didn't grow up together nor do they see each other as family nor actually related. Don't see the problem ? Anyway I made a route unlocker mod for it because I refuse to replay 80% of the game to unlock the final 2 routes

    Unzip it and put it in the Cinderella-phenonmenon-1.1/game folder

    Only had to edit 1 IF statement to be always true so the mod is super tiny in size

    funny since I'm only interested in the stepbrother's route. I did his route on both games and never play them again, lol. other LIs just don't intrigue me.

    anyway I'll re-play the first game again using your mod. thanks for making and sharing it!
