    Withheld. Rant a bit.
    If only I could, I would stop this appearance. I swear, when everyone in the family has this large influence over something...but you want no part of it. It's getting suffocating. But it's not like I can leave this. It's not an option I would consider. So I'm pouring all this stuff out in IFs and games...living as someone else.

    Just played Date Everything and...I'm a bit disappointed. It had such hype that I was actually looking forward to it, but it's just surface level dating trope. Not that I mean it's badly done. For a game with 100 characters, it's got fun dialogue and choices, at least. And also 100x better characteristics and romance than the generic, crappy love interests in most CoG wips.

    tbh, date everything got as big as it did due to it's voice actors (there's a reason they were so heavily pushed in the games marketing). get mildly funny youtubers with big enough fanbases to feature in your game, and the hype will last as long as humanly possible. besides some of the character designs being fun, there just...isn't much to it.

    Unlike the old version, I feel like I couldnt express myself more in game...the choices that I used to click were also robbed out, and there's a goddamn reason why I click them always. It's so limited. Now I get why the others are complaining in the dumping thread....

    It totally did!! I guess Allie wanted to make it more streamlined in order to match the VN more, but imo it lost a lot of personality because of that. Chapter five also felt really lackluster, it also ended on a shitty cliffhanger... (╥﹏╥)

    Just scrolled past my acc bookmark in cog forum and it surprised me how much unfinished wips I've hoarded since like, 6-7??? Years ago. Hurts man, only *very few* have been completed, shows how this issue has been going on, even without involvement of patreon. 😔 RiP to my beloved cancelled wips. Special mention Through the Broken Lenses and A Comedy of Manors.

    I hate it when one day they are active, everything is normal, they even announce when the next update will be

    Joking aside, I am quite disappointed in the slowly spiralling downgrade of story quality, they've relied too much on AI.

    Exactly, they almost went bankrupt started using AI for story and art also leaned hard on the "steamy" stories. It went really downhill . Only good stuff is their old stories

    Even the covers for the games look really painful to look at and they compromised good stories, it's awfully obvious, heck, even chatgpt would be a bit better at hiding inconsistencies..

    Question to those guys that have written a story if, unpublished and not. How did you guys start with your story?? Did you write whatever came to mind, or made layout..maybe something else?

    @Addylan Not sure if I can explains it better with English but for the choices, it's depend with how you want to progress the story. If you already have the general scene in your mind, the choices will influenced by that.---

    ---For example (a simple one), I already have blueprint in my mind about the endings. In one of the endings, the ML would fall into his rage and blindly take revenge if in the earliest scenes, MC doesn't try to change his way of thinking about human. But if MC successfully change ML's views then player will get different ending instead.

    AI detectors are known to be hysterically flawed and often wrong. I wouldn’t put any credibility to them. Highly doubt C.C. of all people would use AI, especially in a commissioned work.

    Took me a while to get back to you, but as an experiment, I put apartment 502 authors demo through multiple AI checkers as well, and a lot of them came up as 99% AI and 1% human. Those checkers are far from accurate 😂.

    Oh, that's crazy. I read her previous works WLGYL (before it got taken down), and IRFN, and they were nowhere near the quality of writing that Spices is. I was analyzing if there was some AI involved because I did a double-take when I found out that she wrote it. I wonder if her writing just got that good though considering what the others above are saying. It also didn't read like ChatGPT to me from the cadence.
