Even though it is an introductory story, it is quite interesting without trying to put in too much detail in functional politics and lore so it is a good read.
[Summary](Very little spoilers)
The story takes place after Daria: Kingdom Simulator (It is a game.) after an unknown amount of time as that detail probably isn't important. You're the Sole heir to the throne and destined to take your father's place. That is until a tragedy strikes you leaving you in exile and ruin.
[Choices]
Depending on who you decide to go with and your chosen profession will determine a great of what happens in the other parts of the trilogy by a lot surprisingly. I am actually quite surprised just how many lines of dialogue and alternate choices there are but I believe the story is moving in the same direction just with different variations which is pretty cool. The author clearly put in a great deal of thought and detail in the trilogy and many major choices you make even small ones end up doing something neat.
For example, just for collecting a cloak just to boost your stealth stats in story 2, in story 3 your shadow has become sentient as a result from your shadowy cloak and will basically be a new character that can help you out and proves to be a powerful ally in difficult situations.
