I think this is an appropriate thread for this. Or I hope that it is.
Anyhow, upon reading that beagle troll story on cog, I truly got inspired. So here's what I was thinking.
We could all, anyone who wants to join in on the fun, can start making short stories for cog, and posting them. Those would be in the "Beagle verse", seeing as I've gotten inspiration from that. But here's the best part.
We could advertise those stories as complete satire, which they would be, along with the fact that they are also a mockery of everything we hate in IFs and about the nasty habits of authors. We could use that satirical trolling to write some short stories, making fun of all that we hate, just how that author of that beagle story did. You know, to just take a **** at everything that we hate, in a very creative way.
I also thought an actual Patreon could be made for that too, so it could be used to gather funds for this website, though I'm not sure how successful that would be, primarily because of the parasocial simps that are IF fans of Tumblr. So yeah, not sure about that Patreon part yet.
All in all, I think that this could be a very fun way of getting back at the bad side of the IF community. And I call for anyone who wants to join to join, and hell, we can all use the same pfp picture for the stories, to show the verse union of sorts
Thooouugh, I'm curious to what yall would think about this. I think it's a fun idea, that would absolutely grate the nerves of writers, but hey, that's the fun part. But what do yall think?

Which beagle troll story? I saw a guy talking about Shattered Eagle and calling it beagle yesterday in the chat, and if you mean that one I don't think I can agree on either it being a troll story nor I think we would hate the same things.

I think a lot of the writting on CoG falls short when compared to HG, probably because they are on a shorter leash regarding the contents of their IF.
It is also true that authors have ended up getting donations without providing a proportional work.

There are also authors that don't take criticism well, but that's about it for things to complain about (other than bland/inconsistent writting of course).

Overall, I think this is a bad idea, we don't really need people going rampant, specially not if they do it while proclaiming an affiliation to this site.

It should also be noted that what you are proposing is a bannable offense from this forum according to rule 3 now that I've checked, I am not saying you should be banned, as this proposed plan hasn't happened as of yet.

Eagle was a typo, and the person who made it said so in that reddit post, and yeah, they also said that they are a troll and a hater
Also, I don't think those are the only things, because it's as you mentioned at the end, bland/inconsistent writing. Those are pretty vague, and can cover a loooot of ground if you ask me, if we were to nit pick it.(literally, from ideologies to God knows what)

And while I do see your point of view, I must say that people leak here paid content all the time, which can literally be a federal offense. I think taking a **** via satire isn't that big of a deal in comparison to that, especially since satire is mockery that's blown out of proportion, meaning that most of the time, it's not true(well, that would be debatable in this case, but yeah)

I just checked the rules, aaaaand, I am not sure? I am not proposing blatant hate speech like saying **** that scammer CC or something, and as long as one is vague in the proposed story ideas, I think it would be aight. Satire is a nice little gray area, though if this is in fact considered a ban worthy offense, do let me know
Because if you ask me, it's just trolling. Nothing more, nothing less, though yeah, you are right when you said that those big cry baby writers aren't mentally capable of processing a tiniest bit of trolling or anything like that, and that could negatively affect some IFs, by making the writers abandon them. But at this point, they will most likely do that regardless, soooo
And if leaking hasn't stopped them yet? I don't think some implied trolling would either, but that's just my guess

I suppose But I still think that it's a bit dull of us to just yell and shake our fingers in these four walls that choice of mods represents. I think it would be mad funny if people started posting stuff like that, regardless of whether they associate with this place or not. Because that type of trolling would bear fruit, since it would kick the crybabies off the platform, and normal people would be back on, but that may very well be just my wishful thinking

So yeah, in conclusion either I go full rogue, or nothing of this idea
