So what happened to to The Mage Reborn 2 rewrite?

I just posted the link to it in the non-public WIPs thread but it's roughly around 100k words now. And it ends right before the rescue arc for Eli.
Same. I cant play past after rescuing those villagers.
Sorry, I haven't actually played the update myself (I've been waiting for it to reach where the first iteration of it left off) so I'm not 100% sure of what's in it past what the author has said in the update post. From the comments on the patreon post there's mentions of a flower shop/tavern (your choice on where to go) and the author himself stated that the update should end after meeting F and a reveal about Eli (presumably that they need rescue and are actually alive).
ETA: the author also plans to update again sometime mid-November as this update itself was apparently only a partial one.

Replay it all over again, the old save are no longer useful
I played from the beginning.
From the code it looks like it's an incomplete branch if you follow Myst back to the city; it should progress as normal if you walk back with the caravan with Yu? At least it looks that way from following the labels.
