WOW
75% of revenue just for publishing is aggressive. I am unsure if that is typical, but off the top of my head, Steam only takes a flat 30% cut. Regardless, I see why some authors milk their Patreon for all it's worth.
One of the many reasons I refuse to support CoG in general. When I read about the SOR situation, was kinda hoping the author would just rewrite the old demo (the OG one) and continue it, change the title so it doesn't have anything to do with SOR, and self-publish it via Twine or other engine. That way they get 100% of the revenue and considering they already have quite a follower (from the SOR publication) I'm confident they can pull that off.
If I were ever to publish any IF, I will only "use" CoG as free PR, and once I get enough loyal audience I'll just turn around and self-publish with Twine instead, lol.
