Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

That's the "loyalty" route though, right? I'm sure it'll lead to loyalty route too lol. Mao already likes me
It technically is but some scenes does change if we're on that route so i'm not 100% sure.

Well, maybe if, say, Khan asked Mao to give us the technique because we're now his 2nd strongest disciple, then he would have no excuse to refuse. But if it all depends on wether he likes us or not then i'm gonna have to hope he didn't hold a grudge over that very obvious lie that we're "just following orders".

Alright, i want to know you guys opinion. What it is the style you dislike/like the most?

I will start:

I don't have any style that i dislike, but i do find kuro boring. The whole coping techniques and the curses thing do not have appeal to me. And since AC is all about fighting and battles the MC cannot go into the whole ninja/shinobi vibes, which i do find much more interesting.

Now the style i do like the most is akakiru. The ability to cut through the fabric of space is a very OP ability (imagine having the power of absolute slicing, there is no defense that will ever be enough, after all, you are not cutting the bonding of atoms, and yes the very blank space between them. Many fiction works with this ability also give the power of cutting through the space-time fabric, idk if this will be a possibility in AC to aka users). And of course, i just really like the vibe of lethality aka have, the possibilities of aura farming is limitless :hehe:

I don't think Khan has that authority over Mao, does he?

He already saves you from Goro and is obviously working with you as if you never pulled that stunt, so as long as you don't pass that deception check it seems we're on the same team as far as he's concerned.

Unless i misremembered it, their soulbinding oath from chapter one is pretty specific that Mao has to adhere to Khan's ruling as long as it involves the mc. On Khan's side of the oath, he must prioritize the interest of the sect. So if we're strong enough to be number 2 then surely giving us the technique would only make thunderfall sect stronger.

I mean, it could go two ways. Mao could actually grow to care for the mc even if he didn't realize or he sees someone attacking his disciple as an excuse to beat up the leader of an enemy clan.

I can totally see Mao growing to like us purely because of the fame we bring to the sect and the rivalry that pushes his son to grow stronger (though he'll definitely need some convincing or have Khan tell him to teach us Thunderfall IF it's really in the next chapter).

My likes and dislikes are Purely based on the transformations/flavour i love Midorikatai for the 2 options of asura and titan with monkey being special, Kurokonton is basic but let's you have both the eyes and limit breaker with Light bringer as a summon, used to love Akakiru ( previously my favourite) especially when you unlocked the dual weilding but this one didn't feel that fun to me ,Kiihakai seems to basic to me ( while being the most complex in story ) and the fact you don't get dessy nuke is a negative, Aoyusumu feels fun turning into a angel and judgement and the flavour was good.

Funny enough, I have the complete opposite thought process here. I find Akakiru to be the most boring one for me while Kurokonton is interesting enough for me to put it together to Aoyusumu in my favorites.

The reason is because swords or the concept of cutting is just... hilariously overrated in media. Cutting through reality? Time and Space? Etc.? Those sounded more boring the more I heard of it and the more it became prevalent in any sort of media where combat is involved. I'd even argue that swordsmen are also overrated, and considering that Aura Clash is a Xianxia setting to a fault, you would certainly not see me play as boring ahh swordsman no. 69420 who's just gonna pretend like they're Vergil, or the style that is just all about cutting.

Now as to why I consider Kurokonton and Aoyu my favorites? Because I love it when in a setting where it's all focused in combat, you instead overcome through subtlety, and these two styles have both in spades from what I've seen so far. Not only that, but the trolling potential with these two styles combined with element synergies is just unmatched, and just seeing your enemies get rage baited by you finessing them in any manner is just cathartic. Why would I aura farm if I could make my enemies go into aura debt by baiting them?

Looks at Jack losing his sh*t when you go Godhand form

I hope defeating Sakura gives us like 5 imperial trial score because we know Jack has at least 10 bonus points from outside. God knows how many others have...
Infamous magic extra points.
Thunderfaller is the main factor on stopping a out of control Wild God spawn. Stopping a demonic faction in Ebikowa with a Artificial corrupted Gate, army of fiends and a very schizophrenic(And threatening if he had completed his research) Blood cultivator that'd be turned very likely in a regional disaster if not. And now defeating a Ryugujo spy related to a organisation contrary to the Anchonate(?) and very likely with evil intents.

But somehow we still have less points than Goro & Jack. Brass Tiger still reasonable I'd say given he's a war hero from the North.

Is there a way to gate waverunners armor by not being a human?
You need to fight goro's brother and be thrown into magistrate's statue and then craft him a new one. ( Craft 3 check or craft 2 check + earth element). Also it's a hidden check to even open that option. Being a merchant helps you try the option. Or persuasion/deception i don't remember which.

Man, speaking of styles, I kinda miss playing Kurokonton style. I've been doing a lot of Aoyu with some Kii and Mido to the side.

Welp, time to be Kakashi again.

So you cant get it unless youre a merchant or did I misunderstand you?

This is such bullshit. Was he out there saving the world or something? Why is this dude being showered in points
Well, based on the what is said the last thing Jack was doing in his way for Nanhou was helping people. Quite the opposite, showing up in random sects and beating them up...

Truly the work of a Archon. Can't wait to show up in a random Inner Kingdom sect, beat up the sect master, steal their techniques, treasures and be rewarded by the Archonate for my exceptional services...
