Jade Dragon it is above in hierarchy the 4 auspicious Beasts are one step below the jade dragon as all of them are supposed to represent guardians while the jade Dragon is supposed to the emperor of the country.Plus jade Dragon can respawn as many times as they want untill they choose to ascend and leave the pool of reincarnation and become an Ascended.
Ahh soooo...the jade dragon is basically the yellow dragon?(huanglong)

It's updated with an in-game option that leads you to the twine version.

You can edit it directly by going to the console and typing sugarcube.state.variables.statyouwishtoedit, or you could edit them by exporting your save and modifying the variables there, or or, you can get the edited version with a mod menu posted by Dan earlier this week to make your life slightly easier, do note however that this only contains the stats the player has and their clan and ships.

well I think anon based them on the 4 auspicious beasts that associated with a cardinal direction and a color, but also represent other aspects such as a season, an emotion, virtue, and one of the Chinese five elements
there are 4 auspicious beasts:
Azure (or Jade) Dragon of the East;
Vermilion Bird of the South;
White Tiger of the West;
and Black Tortoise of the North.
There is also another one called the Yellow Dragon (or more commonly known as Qilin) resides in the Central
It's more clear that Jade Dragon is supposed to be a stand-in for the yellow dragon rather then the azure one, considering how the cathyan rulers possessed JDF and how the land the royal palace is in stands directly at the center of the whole continent.
No jade is different From azure dragon as jade dragon here symbolises more about jade Emperor and also the king of country even though some myths have azure and jade as interchangeably but the symbolism in AC is pretty clear name wise it is to reference to jade emperor and position wise to yellow emperor the emperor of China as Cathay was basically similar to China and a lot of the emperors were JDF another reference is JDF being about 12 top tier dragons choosing to take human form.lastly JDF has the direct connection to heavens which makes them higher in hierarchy plus they can keep spawning as long as they want some JDF have stopped respawning because they have left the pool and ascended to heavens either way to look at them they are one step above in hierarchy

hmm according to wikipedia and some sources, ive found that 4 of the beasts are axtually equal, each with their own roles
especially white tiger and jade dragon: they are supposed to represent yin and yang aspect repectively

Not really it goes from myth to myth jade dragon isn't even a single person that should tell you all they are 12 dragons this isn't even yin and Yang thing it's about different levels of power jade dragon directly also refers to jade Emperor who who we know ordered the 4 Dragons in myth.
The 4 auspicious Beasts are guardians of different direction jade dragon is just super powerful dragons who get busted **** and also heavens favour simply higher in the hierarchy of AC as they are mixture of jade emperor and also yellow emperor with the Cathay emperors part when I say yellow emperor it means the mythical Emperor.
We will likely meet Azure dragon one day but it Will be one entity.
As the myths are always all over the place you gotta see them and then compare the signs the game show and jade dragon simply got the heavenly connection that is lacking for Beasts,jade dragon can also just leave and ascend some already have there were 12 now only 7-8 remain in the pool or reincarnation.
Most of the stuff here has been talked about in the discord months back.So evil JDF players biggest worries will remain other JDFs
Also rarely are qilin and yellow dragon associated they are seperate as someone here previously stated yellow dragon is huanglong the dragon form of the yellow emperor.
But yeah in conclusion they(all 12 JDFs) are atleast one step above in hierarchy than the 4 auspicious Beasts.

Yeah...as soon as I saw the jade dragon option I assumed that it was a stand in/inspired by the Yellow Dragon
Which is really cool.
Hopefully the MC will meet other Jade Dragons too
