Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

Aren't we technically learning an offshoot of their foundations. It's more apparent when you pick Eldra as your mentor and she states that she's only gifting you a fraction of her power so I think it's a nice tradeoff tbh. Being able to choose one skill that you prioritize more than the rest with the opportunity to learn their ultimate skill much later down the line. I kind of disagree with kaito though. Being able to have a beast as a battle companion and false spirit summoning from Zhao Yang are both equal in my eyes since they can both act as supports in fights. Two of kaito's skills are actually pretty good and his techniques obviously have high synergy with midorikatai. I do agree with Harmony being the overall best but the other two are just as capable. I think anon tries to balance everything out so one side isn't as lopsided compared to the rest. There's only one thing I'm wondering with Eldra and dragons nest you can learn;since you passively gain AP will the AP you gain from it be uniform in value or go up or down depending on certain conditions.

I think Eldra is supposed to be a special case, being a Jade Dragon and all. Which is why it's an offshoot.

Kaito explains that the training we're doing to get his foundation, is more or less exactly what he had to do as well, so it's not anything like Eldra's.

To me the beast is just inferior because if it dies then it's over right there and then, meanwhile you can always reform your Summons.

I would rather not get the ultimate in exchange for getting all the other stuff from the foundation.

Regardless as an ultimate it's just so "meh". If I wanted a pet I'd choose the Trapper background, or gone Mido I guess.

Also I just remembered that Kuro can just straight up Summon the Lightbringer now.

That’s not the case with JDF MC, since you just awakened what was already there, i think at least Dragon Nest should’ve been auto-learned. It definitely seems like a Jade Dragon passive.

I know. I was referring to a normal mc who previously primarily used fuel foundation specifically. For a normal mc with jade lotus wouldn't there be a slight difference. When I meant it being an offshoot of Eldra's foundation I was referring to jade lotus since she specifically says it's a 'moderated equivalent' of the JDF. Maybe it's me misunderstanding things

Ah that part skipped me. Now that you mention it you're right. Eldra gives us a balanced equivalent of her foundation but it's still different in essence. Kaito in particular does say you are gaining his exact foundation. I just loaded a save at the point where each mentor comes with their pitch on individual training sessions. I get what you're saying about Kaito's ultimate though. His other skills like gaining AP while surging cores and being able to abuse weighted training bonuses by lowering each core by one seem pretty useful.

Is this for every one or did i mess up with the code but when i go to equipment it doesn't have the weapon option so i can't equip or change it.

Speaking of skills the Zhao's Soul Reconstruction seems pretty strong. When he present this to us is said to be able to redefine our points not only in our combat cores but also skills, so lead me to think we unlocked maybe a incomplete version?
Anyway, if changing skill points became true then I'd say Soul Reconstruction is the strongest, even if the skill redistribution work only in a minor exchanges rather than the 4 Range for each core we have currently.

A system I think would be interesting is to subdivide skill point exchanges into groups, like the auspicious seals, for example; [Athletic, Insight, Persuasion], then within this subgroup of skills I can redefine the skill points within a range of 1 point reduction(Being fair, it could be more), for example, -1 in insight and persuasion to gain a temporary +2 in athletics to either, pass a check or increase the AP gained by weighted clothes in +4.
And this system to each subgroup, following the auspicious seals, Western seal, Northern Seal, Southern seal and Eastern Seal, each one being a separated subgroup.
Or just applying a limit of 4 changes and let it broad.

Careful Totenkopf, your true feelings are leaking.
It was just a example, a appealing one. People like AP after all(My other idea of example would be using a case where you have a soul treasure and can increase your alchemy by 5 with Zhao route. Yes, I'm not a subtle one...)
