And about him changing it to spite others, it too is false. This game has been like this from long ago, how long ago was dashingdon brought down? About half a year? His code as can be seen in Dashingdon was like that at the time, so no, it wasn't due to a recent annoyance.


In short: this was done solely to make things harder for modders who wanted to allow this, this goes against his previous claims.
But anyways, if you are fine with that that is all, I am merely saying that not all he has said is true, I am not saying you can't like his IF, just that I have provided proof, and not everything he implies (a positive attitude towards modding, the same gender romance being just because of him being uncomfortable, the semi modded IF having been uploaded to cogdemos (yes, I am cross that he went ahead and said that given it is untrue, although I am far more dissapointed in people taking it for its worth and not reading that it was a mediafire link before posting it as fact).

If some authors have a right to create works with only gay romances, then other authors have the same right to create works with only straight romances (whatever their reasons)
There is literally modded version of Aura Clash with gay romances on cogdemos.ink (and its not being banned by cultivator-anon)

Honestly, I don’t know when those changes were made or anything like that, but I don’t see what difference it makes whether it was a recent change or not. The game came out in 2023 and has always been criticized for not including gay romance, so if the author really was bothered by that, then obviously the code would have been there for months — especially since the game only gets updated every 5 to 7 months.

Second, you’re saying he lied — and while I’m not here to defend anyone, you also haven’t said when exactly the code was changed or when the author said he was fine with people modding the game to add romance. If he said that before the code was changed, then he didn’t necessarily lie. Anyone can get frustrated after being constantly attacked over the same issue. And like the other person said, he could have changed the code out of anger. Saying that’s false just because it wasn’t a recent change doesn’t prove anything — like I said, the game has been criticized for this since the beginning, so it’s entirely possible the author changed his mind.

About the smut scenes — there are some that wouldn’t really make sense if it were same-gender romance, like Tian Fang’s footjob scene. I haven’t seen all of them, but just to point out: yes, if someone wants to make a proper same-gender romance mod, they would still need to modify the game itself, not just the variables. So I can’t say whether the author took that into account when writing the code or not.

At the end of the day, romance variables resetting to 0 when you’re the same gender doesn’t necessarily prove anything. Like I said, the game was made for heterosexual romance, and that could just be a much easier way to prevent bugs in case you gain romance stats where you shouldn’t, rather than going through the trouble of checking every possible scenario.

I’m saying this because, while I’ve never programmed anything in ChoiceScript, I have done so in other languages — and sometimes I would add redundant code like that if it helped me avoid having to comb through the rest of the code for other issues, like the one I mentioned.

About the Mediafire link you mentioned — I have no idea. I just read the other comment that said someone shared the premium version of the game. I don’t know through which platform or anything like that, since I had no idea it even happened, so I won’t comment on that part.

He literally said he was fine with modding when he created an account here the other day (and as I said implied the mod was uploade to cogdemos). But alright, as I said I am not here to stop you from enjoying Aura Clash, I am merely advicing that you don't take everything he says factually.

Well, it would be helpful if you shared screenshots, so I could have the full context too. You say you’re providing evidence, but I don’t really see any. I don’t even know if Anon has an account on this platform or anything like that, so it would be much better if you could share where exactly they said that — that way, we could have a more complete discussion. And if you don’t want to, that’s fine too, but in that case I don’t really see the point in continuing this topic, since, like I said before, it had already been dropped.

And about the advice — don’t worry, I’m not the kind of person who believes anything without proof. As for this topic, it honestly doesn’t interest me enough to go digging around everywhere. I mostly just check the Discord to read the Q&A section about the game so I can learn more about the lore, and that’s it.

But I do see a lot of people attacking the game just because it doesn’t have same-gender romance, even though it’s been like that from the very beginning. I’ve even read some saying they don’t like the game over things that have nothing to do with the game itself, but rather with some external discussion unrelated to the product — so I’ve never really understood that reasoning, but oh well.

Of course it could just be an impersonator, and while I have some (quite evident) doubts about the character of cultivator anon, that does not mean that should extend to the game, the IF itself just isn't my style, the reason for all of this spectacle I had was because I had done my research previously on him, read what he said on the forum - and believed him. Until someone showed me screenshots of the code, that can be corroborated with the actual thing.

I guess all of this does stems a bit from feeling cheated and even more so from feeling gullible. But that is my problem alone, while I can't say I like the author that shouldn't stop any of us from playing/reading and having a good time.

Are you referring to this mod? Well, I see it on cogdemos.ink, and it was modified on the same day you said it wasn’t on cogdemos — so I don’t know what to tell you. It’s definitely there or was there, so like I said, I’m just going by what I can see with proof, and this contradicts what you said.

And based on the way you talked about the smut up to Chapter 4 — and this supposedly changes the romance up to Chapter 4 — I’m guessing it’s your mod, right?

I thought it wasn't uploaded! It is true I checked CoG demos, but I read their terms and decided not to go forth with it, it should be empty then, I ended up uploading it elsewhere and thought that without a game the page wouldn't be up. I will be deleting it now.

I got 8 points in first and seconds trial and got 7 in dragon trial but got 2 extra points from unalive Gazzhura

How is the top 5 calculated? Is it points? I got 8,8 and 7 including 3 points for killing the wild beast heir, or 2 I'm not sure.
