Yes. As soon as you get their asses back from the Thunderfall Sect, you can train them (and Kosuke) in the down time before the trials, in which the option to give the elixir to one of them is present and cost 0 day.
Honestly, I wish we can get more of those elixirs. Jin and Rin are a bunch of dumbasses, but they're my dumbasses. Also, their ability reflects back to the clan, and I will not be embarrassed because of their poor performance...

Also, does anyone know if there are any special encounters for the other races? For the monkey yokai, I know there's Sun Wukong, but I was wondering if there's anything like that with the other races as well?
Easier way is to increase the amount of memorywell elixir you have, just type stats.memorywell and set the number, this way you can unlock their elements
Demonic monkey with wukongs training having the storm element is also funny
I finally did my second playthrough in ML Akakiru Kitsune. By the time I reached the island, I had around 1200 AP, and what I chose to get all the points in the trial was:
- Tian Fang’s event
- Leona’s event
- Desdemona’s event
- Angelo’s event
- Fighting the Wigh and breaking my ML thanks to the spirit
- And the event to save the Steel Alliance"
It depends on your build and interest.
Cavern unlock some runes if you're a Lunargoth or you can get a Writ of Favour of the Northern Army,for now not that useful.
Leona and Fang quest are also opportunity for more romance.
Leona might give you a sword if you didn't take one during the Heist and Fang a sauna that will increase retainer strength.
Dessy has a very important romance event
Graveyard,Steel Thread,Cherry blossoms are all events that give rewards and boost
Wight is very cool imo because it breaks ML and increase Wind/Akakiru Mastery.
Guiren also give Earth/Water Mastery if you're not enemies or a powerful Soul Treasure.
So usually I go 2-3 companion quest
And 3 rewards event when they're at 1 hour.

ive seen people on cog's own forums openly spewing anti-cis, misandrist bs. it's very obvious they're extremely biased, i wouldn't be worried about fairness as long as we're talking about them. don't even bother.
You know all of this would had been avoided if you stoped Bo Lo Lord and Alexander Bangle as they were the ones that said the words not you ? Temporary banned them while reminding the ppl to not go to far with words and that was it .
Cog is **** and always has been. Rarely a good game has successfully been published. I remember MMM being banned just for having an evil MC. They are so bias that the end product is so sanitize it's a kid's story book. If anyone disagree and start banning they are no better than cog forum mods.
