It seems a Akuma Lord get killed regardless of the master route you choose(Keiko says this in the end of the Chapter). Now if is Tenkairyu the one who get killed by Zhao/Kaito it's very unlikely, because by Keiko words the one they killed were in the Outer East.
Maybe anon is already diverging putting JDF/Pseudo-JDF forcedly as anchonate(?) aligned, since Eldra already can kill Tenkairyu and capture - I assume since it was the only other Akuma lord in the local - Black Flower.
His goons help you ( previously it was a bug) and it gives you an extra point which you can also give to rin/bo/fang
If you play as a trapper you get a bird roc companion. Father gives you egg in chapter 2.
Oh so it got capped? Didn't know that, now I thought I was doing something wrong when I wasn't seeing anything higher than a 100 with soul treasures.
Wait, It was capped to 100 overall or 100 in base(which can be increased by reagents)?
I really don't know because I stopped using high-level Soul Treasures, that's, the Lightbringer I keep to craft the Belt and I always side with Gong instead of Qing(Yes, that's my corrupt MC for you all).
Capped to 100 in base, reagants still increase it a certain amount. Good change, imo.
Anyway, seeing as Jack is learning animal taming, I don't know why but I immediately thought about having a roc pov and found it pretty funny.

Yes, a cycling focused build is the strongest if we're speaking about AP(High Soul cores - Since each soul core increase the AP gained in cycling by 1 - and high Hand-seals).
I usually cycle in the chapters 3,4 and 6 and let the chapters 7 & 8 to save money since I don't know what Anon is planning, but even so I can easily get ~500-600 AP by cycling. To give you an idea, I finish the chapter 3 with 1,300 AP. When I met Taio(Scholar) my AP is in the 1,500 range...etc.
I mix-max cycling to a extent that I have, literally, two weapons in Nanhou I crafted specifically with +2 Soul & +1 Hand-seals, because this is +6 AP by cycling overall. +1 by Yomijin Lord seal. +2 by the Runic seals...etc.

If I refined all soul treasures to advancements elixirs with my Alchemy 8(Lightbringer 2,800 AP soul treasure. Wyrm with 2,500. Drake with 1,650. Shakengara 2,200. Scorpion Stinger 1,800 and the one in Desdemona mission with 2,200 AP) & used the Limit-Breaker instead of Malocchio my AP would surpass the 5,000 by a significant margin.
Unhealthy amounts of min-max, you know...

Nah, for Eldra, it align with her character and lore so it make sense story wise. She have almost 6.000 years worth of memory being together with JDF MC, it would be weird if she just fall in love with someone else.
