Is limb healing in this universe a lot more difficult than in Poma? As far as I know Guiren is still missing an arm, and people treat losing a limb as a big deal.

But I know we've survived falling off a cliff as a mortal with a healing elixir (I know it's effect was greater because of that) and also survived Jack's meteor by regeneration provided by our foundation.

It just seems strange with how much healing is available in universe.
It's a shame there is no craft/lore/handseals check to make him an enchanted prosthesis arm and increase his combat prowess.

Really? I thought it was strange as hell. Like, it takes a bedtime story for Leona to see you in a different light? I was genuinely confused.

PS: I think she doesn't even bring out the handseal bed if you offer to read yourself. Which makes the scene even more out of place.
Considering that I took a lot of choices that led with my MC interacting a lot with Leona, it does make the scene not look as strange, because falling in love to someone reading a bedtime story IS strange, but falling in love to someone who not only matches your freak but goes out their way to help you out without asking for anything else would certainly make more sense. Even more so if you picked Leona to be the one to show up during the fight with Jack and choose to cover her up despite the fact that you're literally at your lowest point.

I dunno, it kinda makes sense if you consider those factors.

My friend, you can be:
1) A pseudo-JDF with one of the strongest sources of Chi in this world(Jade Chi, probably on par with the White Tiger Chi) & three elements.
2) A literal Immortal(Yes, literal) with the Flayed God foundation.
3) Able to change your combat cores and skills at will during a fight, grating nearly unlimited flexibility to pass all checks.
4) If this isn't enough you can delve into corrupt cultivation, paralyze someone by blood and implode then. Dry they life-force. Destroy their soul/spirit...etc

Add the fact that Thunderfaller already has full access to his transformations, you still don't believe Thunderfaller can win without the Fuel Foundation?
I'd be honest, the chooses for foundations sucks.

1 is weak unless your reincarnation of the jade dragon sacrificing achievements in game, 2 immortality is useless I literally never died in this game with four health, 3 is just impossible unless your save scumming like a noob.

Speaking of default MC, mortal mode is pretty funny with the increased check difficulties, since it either promotes dumping agility or save scumming.

Like my MC is pretty tough but I can imagine he genuinely has no clue what's going on in a fight half the time because he has 3 agility and can't see ****.

I understand you my friend, I understand you very well.

A tip for the Rabbit test: choose Guiren as your partner.

When did the fuel foundation glaze start? It literally failed us during our fight with Jack, and the MC has proven that he can hang oustide of the gates as well. The Fuel Foundation was a literal crutch and is written as such because when Leona asks if you can pull something off against the white tiger, and you tell her that you lost the FF, she straight up thinks y'all're gonna die. A lot of people don't respect you because of it, and we are constantly told that's a terrible foundation, and then we are shown why it is. To make matters worse in the cultivation world, reputation matters. If you get known as the guy who only won his fights because of the gates, people will just jump you outside of them. We were lucky to be punching above our weight for so long, with the fight setting always being in our favor. Anon can't keep just having us getting lucky like that. From the first Taio all the way up to Jack, we were always in a gate fighting and against the light bringer, it was wounded by someone else. I am glad it's gone, and I hope it stays gone. I want nothing to do with something someone can turn against you to the point that it cripples you.

Just saying it here, I do genuinely hope our next fight against Jack is true hell 🤣
nah the only reason why we (nearly) lost was jack f*cking strategy of overloading our cores with a gate => since we have fuel foundation then it means wed highly break our cores and potentially crippled for the rest of our lives

the good thing is we could copy his Transformation technique and make it ours, which is rewarding enough

true though, the Fuel Foundation is a terrible foundation since:

1. it only offers slight Chi boost/absorption without any physical or mystic boost (lack of increased power)

2. your strength increases while you're in a Gate and WITHOUT a Gate, you're basically a punching bag due to no boost

3. in our cases, we crippled ourselves because of the damn thing since it take in too much and can't handle the aura pressure and chi from the gate while simultaneously exerting while fighting Jack

overall, it's a terrible foundation

I do get the sentiment since the fuel foundations has been saving our *** purely out of luck (And it has pretty broad working conditions, like Taio's book acting as a gate and boosting us) for the last 8 chapters and the bonuses are neat when applied. But these foundations make it so we no longer have to rely on luck and don't have disclaimer: "Could blow up anytime" (Aside from Kaito's foundation but that's a perk for that one)

The only reason we survived as long as we did was the fuel foundation tho. (Not counting Jade Dragon). A 2.0x power multiplier at minimum, regeneration, infinite energy through the gate and instant technique comprehension, it's just such a crazy boost.

Keep in mind Jack apparently knowingly chose the gate to fight us in.

theoritically right my friend, we CAN win without the Fuel Foundation tho, just with the right strat and techniques

nah i dont think so, we can heal almost any injury with the right healers and money spent

this is quite different since the damage Jack inflicted on us was more like a falling building instead of cutting an arm, it's more spread out

I have a question. It's said that a kitsune can gain a tail each time it turns 100 years old or gains a lot of aura, but how much aura (AP) would theoretically be needed to obtain a tail (if we did it the right way)? And does each tail have the same cost, or do they become proportionally more expensive each time?
iirc it was about 1000 AP per tail, Black Flower had 7 tails and someone mentioned she had over 7k AP

also idk about the later part, maybe anon hinted it before

yeah Fuel Foundation carried us early in the games ngl, but as fight drags on and gets harder, this will only pull us down (Goro did say that acquiring new techniques and advancing mid-fight is...unstable or something similar

also Jack knew of our Foundation and chose that Gate while forcing us to exerted ourselves, all that just to break our cores (that bastard)

This and number 2 are the two biggest issues. Because image having to fight Taio in a demonic gate, we all know that's where the fight is taking place, everything has pointed to that. Anyway image that and you have the fuel foundation and the jack situation happens again, we are dead. The stronger you become, and the stronger your enemies become, the more of a liability that foundation is, too. Goro is damn confident he can whoop us, Jack went out of his way to give us the advantage, and we nearly lost, hell against the second taio we would have lost had he not been an idiot. That being said, I seriously hope none of the twins have that formation.

Also, I can't wait for chapter 10 to see the reaction of Rin when we meet up again, since we got attacked by a dragon, gained an island, a huge ship, a new clan member, or a wife for Jin, depending on what you do, and we stopped some minor god.

I was thinking the same tbh. I hope they're preparing themselves to get an actual foundation and not leaving it to pure chance like us. What if they get some garbage like a foundation that only activates to give +1 skill in monday afternoons or something

I also wish to see the wife for jin reactivity (His glee and disappointment in real time) but I'm afraid it'll result in less Sakura content overall since it needs no checks lol

I believe Jin will get something good, especially if you train him. Rin, though, Rin is gonna have to get lucky because she does her best to avoid any form of training.

As for Sakura, this is why we have multiple saves. You're right about her having less content if you marry her to Jin, since I believe her cores will stay broken in that route, though Jin might ask you to fix them later. That being said, if you're serious about the clan growth, then Jin needs to get someone eventually, since I am assuming there will be a time skip between books.

We don't know the methods to get a foundation though, that's why we got stuck with ours. Even if you raise your lore all the way, MC has no clue.

Also you misundertand, I wanted Sakura in the cast purely because she's a summoner. But now that she has several ways to permanently leave the overall story, I'm worried the route I want won't be as polished. (Since it needs additional effort and that's just how things work in ifs)
