Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

This and number 2 are the two biggest issues. Because image having to fight Taio in a demonic gate, we all know that's where the fight is taking place, everything has pointed to that. Anyway image that and you have the fuel foundation and the jack situation happens again, we are dead. The stronger you become, and the stronger your enemies become, the more of a liability that foundation is, too. Goro is damn confident he can whoop us, Jack went out of his way to give us the advantage, and we nearly lost, hell against the second taio we would have lost had he not been an idiot. That being said, I seriously hope none of the twins have that formation.

Also, I can't wait for chapter 10 to see the reaction of Rin when we meet up again, since we got attacked by a dragon, gained an island, a huge ship, a new clan member, or a wife for Jin, depending on what you do, and we stopped some minor god.

I mean I agree that it's great we're finally moving away from the fuel foundation, but I think you're being waay too harsh about it.

If MC is in a situation where he would need the 2x boost from the fuel foundation then he's already lost.

It's always been a net positive. Without it Jack would literally destroy us in the Dragon trial even JDF MC would lose once the transformation came out.

I hope they're preparing themselves to get an actual foundation and not leaving it to pure chance like us.
I thought the foundation was formed automatically once you awakened your aura? Like Kosuke—I think she got a one-time automatic foundation that regrew the teeth she had lost and things like that. I thought it was the same case with the twins?

Hmm, right. I forgot they've already had their advancement because they still have no style. So my mind defaulted to them being newbies for some reason.

I'm worried the route I want won't be as polished. (Since it needs additional effort and that's just how things work in ifs)
Tbf, I don't think you need to worry about this. So far, Anon has done a good job of balancing content across all choices. I believe if you keep sakura around, she will play an important role or a semi important one atleast.
Unless your playing as a female MC I think we got this with our half dozen girlfriends
I mean, yes, but Kosuke said it perfectly. If anything happened to us, Jin would be the clan head. We aren't nearly strong enough to pretend like we can't get killed tomorrow. So it just makes sense.

The problem here is that the MC won the fight before this happened. Even without the gate, you could have shattered his aura if you didn't have the FF when he uses Human Spirit; you wouldn't be a sitting duck getting smacked around. And atp, I believe the MC could have pulled something off.

No, this was a side effect of her advancement. When you first advance, it corrects illnesses, missing teeth, malnutrition, and everything else. It basically gives you the best possible body. That had nothing to do with her foundation. Also since idk if Aura=Qi idk how exactly foundation establishment works in this story.

Unfortunately, best narrative normal MC is around 2500-3000 AP at best. Without the fuel foundation and gate, lore wise MC would lose once Jack transformed. JDF MC on the other just need to last until Limitbreaker duration ran out.

Can someone tell me which technique is unavailable for me to use?
You need a energy block technique. Currently the only one working in that scene is Indomitable Will if I'm not mistaken.
In old versions the Tidal Call(Shakengara's technique) was used to be usable in that scene too as a blocking technique. Technically Iron Body is a blocking technique too, so maybe Anon will polish/add things in the future.
Basically, you need to be a Lunargoth to unlock this option currently.

Thunderfaller shatters his aura mid-fight, the 2x bonus from the Heavenly-Gate was already working at that point. It's basically said in the very start of the fight, that our energy output was around twice as stronger as before(When you receive the +1 in each core from the gate and +1 again or +20 AP if you've 4 insight).

theoritically right my friend, we CAN win without the Fuel Foundation tho, just with the right strat and techniques
In the end of the book, yes. Currently I don't think normal Thunderfaller can win.
When we were 2.500, Jack already was 4.000, and he started his full training way before us due to our shattered cores.
So if we're 3.000 currently wouldn't be absurd to say Jack is 4.500 considering he's being trained by a Exalt.

Huh? No we didn't. We were using the Fuel foundation throughout the entire fight and the very thing that shattered his Aura was us needing to tap into every last bit of strength the gate could give us, which is also what shattered our cores.

The fight is instantly dead in the whatever for the regular MC without the fuel foundation, and it's a struggle for JDF which will end in a loss once Jack brings out his transformation.

The Fuel foundation has literally always helped us in everything. It has never been a liability. Although for JDF MC's you might be able to argue that.

Specifically 4200Ap apparently. Also aside from AP, Jack is getting some brand new trump cards like his own beast.

I'm gonna need my Roc to lock in and actually learn some tricks...

Makes sense considering AP just get harder to increase. Anyway, maybe corrupt Thunderfaller with a combat focused transformation(Limit-Breaker, for example) can beat base Jack then. Now Limit-Breaker Jack is something to address differently.
(Either I present to Jack the little gift the Cursed lands send to me or outsmart his *** to make him activate the Samurai...)

We don't know the methods to get a foundation though, that's why we got stuck with ours. Even if you raise your lore all the way, MC has no clue.

Also you misundertand, I wanted Sakura in the cast purely because she's a summoner. But now that she has several ways to permanently leave the overall story, I'm worried the route I want won't be as polished. (Since it needs additional effort and that's just how things work in ifs)
Meanwhile there's me hauled her *** to jail and blew her to literal dust in my other save and has been antagonizing her. Her cores are gonna stay broken in my saves. Jin's going to have to find another wife.About the route you're talking about there's valid concerns but I'm also worried about anon overextending himself. He has done a great job keeping everything tied together thus far and providing different routes so let's see what goes on regarding that part.

No no, Jack was at 4200 base in the dragon trials according to diamondhead. (Lazy jade dragon level basically)

He's totally gotten another bullshit boost from his new training since he has no mortal limit to worry about.

I've got to say, this game of catching up to Jack is actually something I find very enjoyable haha

Can't do it, I need her in the game. She has my favourite design of the girls with her bandages and second to Leona for amusing me.
