Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

For background I believe there's nearly a consensus that Merchant stand in the top with herbalist "close"(I personally don't consider the gap between herbalist and merchant that close but still).

Now style, my main is Kurokonton because I play corrupt and want to RP the scientist/scholar archetype, also: It's indeed the strongest mechanic-wise as the friend explained above. Midorikatai, in my opinion, follow in second considering it has bonuses in weighted clothes, has precious techniques like Berserker & Energy Gorge, also can gain a +1 craft with Tian Fang...etc.
But overall, mechanic-wise, Kurokonton is the strongest.
Scientist/scholar archetype is kiihakai for sure, doesn't make a lot of sense otherwise.

Too. I'm becoming more tempted to play Kiihakai as main currently with Zhao Yang but I'll hold a little to see more.
However, nearly all persons we see so far that follow this archetype are Kurokonton: Blood-lord Taio(Praised by Tenkairyu), scholar Taio, Manzo, ...Goro(Not necessarily the same archetype, but between the Top-5/except Thunderfaller, he's definitely the more literate/studious it seems)...etc.
And Kurokonton also seems to help considerably with Barrier Proficiency.

But let's see in future, If Anon doesn't let Kuro copy that Zhao's technique maybe I change.

Best styles and background in your opinion?
Background it's definitely Merchant and Herbalist, with Blacksmith coming up at second while the first two are fighting for my first place. Poor Trapper is dead last, mostly because the Roc ends up not helping as much if you can handle your fights anyway, and Survival as a skill seems to only find use in checks. Compare that to Merchant with the starting capital and Handseal focus, Herbalist with the starting boost to your Alchemy skill and the free recipes you get in chapter 3, and Blacksmith with the focus on Crafting skill and a starting weapon as well as a starting accessory that you can upgrade, and Trapper loses its shine more and more.

Style-wise, it's pretty hard to say which is best, I feel like anon did a great job giving each style their own significance in the story. As for my personal preference, I like Kurokonton mostly for the aesthetic, but for gameplay, I don't really find myself valuing one over the other. Which is why I intend to play the same Thunderfaller I have with all of the styles. Finished with Aoyusumu and Midorikatai so far, Kurokonton is next before Kiihakai and then Akakiru.

The MC doesn't really bring up the possibility of intentional rigging though he just mentions the probability of the specific configuration is happening. And s/he also does it wrong, failing to account that the potential pool of candidates is way smaller than 10.000 since the previous seeds have already passed the trials.
