Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

Well I was thinking about some story relevancy though I guess story wise mortal limits are common enough to not be that relevant anyways.

Still kinda weird to have extra content in the "easy" mode rather than the "hard" mode but having extra content in itself is a good thing I would say
Just checked and the variable only comes two times to change dialogue and both are about breaking it, and the change itself is minimal at the moment.

I suppose Tian Fang's quest may speak more about considering she is also affected by them while being the strongest companion (ignoring Leona who has surpassed them and Angelo that is not on the same level than the rest).

i think he meant the jade dragon foundation

I already addressed your argument. Kaito is what you get if you focus on the physical aspect and restoring the mc requires forging them in battle even if it means dying time and again, Zhao Yang is the mystic aspect so he has emphasis on runes and anything mystical in essence and finally Eldra is about perfection and efficiency. Her method of training requires nothing more than achieving balance in every sense and ofc giving you a moderated version of her jade chi which is to grow and "hatch" into the Jade Lotus you later get. Her training may have seemed lackluster to you but for what she offers its perfectly in line with what you will expect likewise with the other two. Her harmony training isn't meant to be physically demanding or have you blow up settlements but to be efficient and precise. She has you practice breathing and correcting your stances and on a minor scale perform Feng shui. The only thing we didn't get to see directly was sparring sessions with her. Some combat checks when fighting Sakura even account for her training. In general I have a feeling we'll still get more from each mentor as time goes on but you were never going to struggle in Eldra's route because that isn't what her path is about.The story even so much as mentions this when she's discussing how your cores will get restored to begin with.
Again, why should I find that interesting? You can talk all about the concept behind Eldra's training all you want, I'm solely concerned with how it was executed.

Again, it was a single page where they vaguely talked aboout yoga and feng shui. I found that boring.

Even though it may not be the most demanding but if you think about "perfection" in everything is quite the tall order.

It probably includes maintaining the perfect breathing rate, heart rate and blood flow while also having the perfect posture 24/7. Must also include chi flow control, making sure that every action you take is in accordance with the environment around you and some greater, heavenly will or whatever.

Would be neat to have some scenes of our mc having OCD, persuing perfection in everything.
See, this is a much better execution of what Eldra's training is about. "Living perfectly" is a much more interesting representation of what you need to do if you want to obtain a Jade Foundation and Harmony as opposed to Yoga and Feng Shui. Like Yuji's training to control Cursed Energy while watching movies.

Like, what if we reversed the order of the trainings? Say that the Yoga and Feng Shui are exercises the MC does while their body rests and recuperates to understand what "living perfectly/in harmony" means. And then the real training once their body has recuperated involves them just hanging out with Eldra and with whoever they choose, while attempting to maintain their "perfect state" even with all the shenanigans going on. You could repurpose all of the existing scenes with very minimal editing. It would recontextualize Eldra's joking behavior as her intentionally trying to throw you off.

Heck, you could make a joke about how this training method is simultaneously a way for the MC to stop being such a workaholic/training machine and actually appreciate the people around them... while also being a way for them to train 24/7 even when they aren't training.

People just want explosions bombs, war crimes, Bo Lo, murder and our boy called struggle on EVERYTHING!

So when they see a method of training that doesn't involve any of the things above they immediately call it boring 😭

Peeps... Eldra's training ain't about that, and I doubt it's about FORCING the MC to achieve "perfection" and "harmony"

I think those are two things that will come somewhat naturally to the MC as they age and train, much like it did to Eldra.

Atleast I think that's what I got from her training and character itself.

Do correct me if I'm wrong 😅

This can actually be really interesting! And it has the potential to create some funny *** scenes lmao

See, the Eldra thing is strange to me. Overtraining exists as a thing in real life and in fiction. From a narrative standpoint, since the minute the MC developed an aura, he has been training and been in life-or-death situations that have forced him to grow. Black Flower mentions that our growth in the time period doesn't make sense, and we know that the spirit brand is a sign of growing too quickly over too short a period of time. Hell, we break our cores by overloading them because we tried to push ourselves too far at the gate. This all points to us probably being the perfect student for Kaito, he is all about pure overwhelming force and physical training, so basically what we have been doing the whole time. Eldra gives us the ability to slow down and balance ourselves. She even states that she would have had us spend time with our cousins had she known they were here. We've been focusing on the martial aspects of life and ignoring everything else. Just look at our reaction to the crates being found on the ships, or us immediately thinking we stumbled into a gate when the Inner Kingdom duo were fighting. Perfection is just as much mental as it is physical. If you're on the JDF route, you're as perfect as can be spiritually and technically, physically, there isn't much she can do for you there. If you aren't on that route, then the Jade Foundation is probably the best one you can get behind the JDF, so again, not much else she can do for you. Plus, just because she doesn't have you hitting a heavy bag doesn't mean her training isn't interesting. She helps you stabilize your transformation, no matter which style it is. So basically, Kaito is a physical trainer, Yang is a spiritual one, and Eldra is a mental one. Plus, it's her first chapter in the story; give it some time, man.

Agreed 100%

Do you guys know which elements are the characters attuned to?

I already know that Tian Fang is ice+earth, Jack is fire+earth and Leona is apparently ice?

But what about the other ones?

Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask if anyone knows about the following:
1.) What is the code for all the benefits of the Archon you choose, like Eldra's extra element, healing power and free ap.

2.) Is the max amount of techniques one can hold 25? And if so does anyone know how to extend it?

3.) Does the following code do anything? Or do you have to use a focused technique to get a attack type?

SugarCube.State.variables.atk_energy_area=""
SugarCube.State.variables.atk_energy_melee=""
SugarCube.State.variables.atk_energy_ranged=""
SugarCube.State.variables.atk_phys_area=""
SugarCube.State.variables.atk_phys_melee=""
SugarCube.State.variables.atk_phys_ranged=""

Desdemona is storm and darkness.
Brass Tiger is Ice and Water.
Lost Jester is Light and Darkness.
Angelo is exclusively water thus far;if he has a second element he hasn't shown it yet.
Mao as we all know is Fire and Storm.
Leona is light from what I gathered when we fight alongside her in the most recent chapter.
Goro is unknown but I'll take a wild guess that he has Fire and Storm simply because of the swords you can steal from his casino which are attuned to Fire and Storm.
Guirren is the only companion where I'm not sure what element(s) he uses.
Kaito(the bone archon) is Wind and Storm.

Like the other guy said, Leona most of the time uses Light, I don't remember her using any other. The rest:

- Angelo has Water, he speaks of this when we go to the mountain shrine.

- Desdemona Darkness and Storm, she electrucutes people a lot and I remember her lighting being dark.

- Guiren I believe he has none or at the very no Yang one because during the fight with Manzo when he uses his Yin void curse he has the grey-white aura of not being attuned to anything

- Bo got nothing, he always uses Wild Chi.

- And well, Jin, Rin and Kosuke are dependant on the Memorywell Elixir, but they are Wind, Earth and Darkness respectively.
