Regarding Gurien's mission, I wasn't aware of that bonus and would appreciate it if you could be more specific so I can obtain it.if i recall there was a plus 1 for lore in gurien's quest, and a plus 1 theivery at the start of the game, if you jump off the cliff against jack and have a healing elixer, might require 1 theivery already am not sure
Thank you, thank you, thank you.View attachment 36672
This is a Stealth 6 Check, not a Stealth 5 one, it's checking gt 5 instead of gte 5.
Fire+Storm for me, but recently, thanks to Eldra, I'm adding Ice to the mix because I wanted a more defence-oriented element to complement my offensive ones.Speaking of elements, I almost always like grabbing water and maybe earth, just to rub it on Jack's face.
What're y'all's favorite elements and element combos?
Actually since you can get a healing elixir by learning to do Handseals from the village mystic, you can do the cliff jump with all backgrounds.Regarding Gurien's mission, I wasn't aware of that bonus and would appreciate it if you could be more specific so I can obtain it.
As for the other option you mentioned, it's an additional bonus you receive if you choose the correct option related to your original profession:
Merchant = cast a curse on Jack = bonus in alchemy
Hunter = lure Jack into the forest = bonus in stealth
Blacksmith = erase the smile from Jack's face = bonus in hand seals
Herbalist = and the one you mentioned
(I apologize if what I explained is something you already knew)
Okay again, you're talking more about the concept of Eldra's training than the actual execution of it. The MC doesn't realize that they have been pushing themselves too much, nor do they have a realization that they are alienating their family like Jin due to their constant focus on training.See, the Eldra thing is strange to me. Overtraining exists as a thing in real life and in fiction. From a narrative standpoint, since the minute the MC developed an aura, he has been training and been in life-or-death situations that have forced him to grow. Black Flower mentions that our growth in the time period doesn't make sense, and we know that the spirit brand is a sign of growing too quickly over too short a period of time. Hell, we break our cores by overloading them because we tried to push ourselves too far at the gate. This all points to us probably being the perfect student for Kaito, he is all about pure overwhelming force and physical training, so basically what we have been doing the whole time. Eldra gives us the ability to slow down and balance ourselves. She even states that she would have had us spend time with our cousins had she known they were here. We've been focusing on the martial aspects of life and ignoring everything else. Just look at our reaction to the crates being found on the ships, or us immediately thinking we stumbled into a gate when the Inner Kingdom duo were fighting. Perfection is just as much mental as it is physical. If you're on the JDF route, you're as perfect as can be spiritually and technically, physically, there isn't much she can do for you there. If you aren't on that route, then the Jade Foundation is probably the best one you can get behind the JDF, so again, not much else she can do for you. Plus, just because she doesn't have you hitting a heavy bag doesn't mean her training isn't interesting. She helps you stabilize your transformation, no matter which style it is. So basically, Kaito is a physical trainer, Yang is a spiritual one, and Eldra is a mental one. Plus, it's her first chapter in the story; give it some time, man.
That's all."But to answer your question, I suggest tending to any problems you have built up. Perfecting your fundamentals won't work until your Cores restore anyway; your muscle memory would be wrong if we did it right now. See if you have any issues to deal with outside of cultivation. Ship maintenance, nutrition, stretching, Clan management. You could even visit your friends, or attend a hotsprings."
"I suppose it's been a while since I've checked in on the others." You say, thinking of all your allies.
"Wonderful, try to have fun while you're at it." She replies, navigating through the crowd until she's unseen. "I'll check back in tomorrow!"
I think it's because if he is to be coded in it would involve clauses around our relationship with both him and Thunderfall. The belt crafted out of the Lightbringer's soul treasure affects all companions sans Fang (I suppose Bo Lo not being there is on purpose).
You’re wrong here. Just because her scenes bored you doesn’t mean they’re actually boring. Honestly, I liked them. I haven’t played the other two, but that doesn’t change the fact that I enjoyed it, I don’t need to compare them to know that. Also, I don’t know why you call it training. She literally tells you that she can’t train you until your cores are restored. At most, she just had you do some basic things to pass the time and help you relax. As far as I understand, the initial training with all three Masters is meant to restore your cores, which is easier with her because she’s using her own foundation for that. So I don’t get why you were expecting something complex right from the start. If Eldra's training gets more interesting later on, that still wouldn't change that this part is boring/lackluster.
Agreed, it was fun learning about your past as JDF ( husband) and spending time with your friends and family , the eventual boost was also amazing. It does feels less like training more like fun down time though especially compared to other mentors but that's kinda the point. You’re wrong here. Feels cheap saying this but Kosuke I'm a sucker for the Childhood Friend RO and the fact that she's ride or die even if you do evil **** is just a bonusSo another question, who amongst the ROs are y'all's favorites. Or for those who don't wanna play favorites, the one that clicked to you first?
For me, it was Tian Fang. I dunno why, I just like her whole clueless golden retriever energy.
Leona....So another question, who amongst the ROs are y'all's favorites. Or for those who don't wanna play favorites, the one that clicked to you first?

Can't blame you there, it really clicked to me when I found out that Leona is a glass cannon, she is as much a scheming psycho freak as she is weak to genuine affection. Chapter 9 in particular brought so many moments where she shined for me.Leona....
Blonde psychopath, the moment she betrayed me and stole my ship. I knew she was perfect.
Tian Fang is a good choice as well. I like her a lot. Eldra as well, she shot up massively, crazy how wonderful she is.
