It makes sense. But you're getting a downgraded version of the JDF anyway so I think it still being subjected to ML would also make sense if anon wanted it to be.
I doubt techniques that suppress the interaction between the corrupted Chi and "normal" Chi are really that rare. Hardly OG Taio developed it in his years as a elite Corrupt Cultivator, after all the amount of taint would already be enough to turn him into a fiend.
Also corrupted Chi isn't only gained through "demonic" methods, as Scholar Taio explained, just the contact with the taint already gives corruption, such as Spirits and the dead. Or ambient Chi overall(Such as New Yomi though this is their whole deal).

Sorry, it was just a guess for future content - I believe that you can tame some snakes in Guiren's side story but I don't know if that's tied to Midorikatai or not.

I'm trying not to be too optimal with this build and pick some RP choices (Kaito over Eldra). But beast taming is something I'm not passing on lol I want all these mfing beasts. Give me drakes, give me wyrms, throw in the White Tiger too I want everything
The entire point of Ml run is to break ML so yeah it isn't designed to stay or be relevant you aren't supposed to still be suffering with it.
Also don't remember if the ap gains get nerfed even after you break ml because normal runs get hit with an ap reduction now so numbers are atleast a bit more controlled (expect more work on this) right now when you get to 1500 ap a 10 percent reduction ,20 percent at 2000 ,35 percent at 2500 and 50 percent at 3000 this is for normal obviously and should work on a ml run once you break ml but again some reported it wasn't working so I don't know if it is now.
Even JDF post 4000 ap has gotten a Nerf in gains I forgot the exact number for it.

Given the other reduction happening on normal and it will only increase expect ml to deadass just get 99.99 reduction later on but hey it's still fun to try and see how far it can go till it gets there and then you need to break it or you are stuck there.
If that's the intent, then wouldn't it be best if all the foundations just let you break past ML? If anon pictures all ML playthroughs breaking past MLs eventually - then it feels like spacing out the opportunities goes against the idea that opportunities to break past ML are super rare and hard to achieve.
Even now, we have two opportunities within a chapter of each other. And if the Wind Spirit carries any significant downsides at all to the possession eventually - then there's even less reason to take it when Eldra is right around the corner.
Edit: I guess that's discounting the idea that anon has a super cool scene of the MC breaking past ML in a future chapter tho. I could maybe see a hidden achievement for keeping ML as long as possible?
Pretty good addition to be honest. But Anon will add/just added this or was already working? Because I played a bit yesterday and even past 3,000 wasn't that hard to be honest.
Anyway, since ML is the focus now. Would Shakengara/Wind Spirit be enough to break the twins ML too considering they're on that "sweet spot" of AP?
Not really for the other two foundations and you will have more opportunities to break ml it's on you to pick which one you should have already broken it via the spirit people who didn't break it there Eldra is their second chance they will surely get a third or even a fourth one but who knows exactly when also I doubt there will be any player who will fall to the spirit at all lol if you do well you deserve it for being that weak.
Completely missed this comment lol. Yeah that's fair, though in this case we're in Rasen and it being how it is I doubt people are chomping at the bits to investigate these things. Most of these chump demonic cultivators we've seen in public are probably going to become Fiends eventually.
It should be working for normal runs and also the JDF one is working as far as I remember, it isn't working for ML after you break ml some players said they didn't feel like they got the normal reduction at all so idk how it is for them.
As for breaking ml for twins I wouldn't count on it they aren't the mc they don't have that buff lol and even if they do breaking ml isn't a guarantee with the same methods it is all on Anon really.
Hmm, now I kinda wanna try a ML run, but at the same time, the higher checks intimidates me more than the reduced AP gains.
You just dump agility and play the game normally bro
Also 4 alchemy to bypass ML (maybe 5 for extra surge and AP, but handseals should handle that) and keep an eye out for stuff like Jahi and earth pill that'll give you a full 100AP regardless

Well, I don't want to pick the Spirit because having a wind spirit inside you when you're not using Wind Shugendo feels like a bad idea? If we could choose the element of the spirit then I wouldn't really care.

Exactly, the corrupt path is mostly drawn by desperate, weak and unprepared MAs, that's why it's understood as a path of shortcuts. But when outlined by the "elite"(OG/Scholar Taio, Thunderfaller...etc), the corrupt path and its branches(Blood, Death and Demonic) are to be studied and specialized in just like any other.
A tri specialized corrupt Cultivator must be madly strong, seeing OG Taio and the Death-Lords of New Yomi.
Speaking about the Death-Lords(Don't know how to ping someone
). Anon once said the strongest Death-Lords of New Yomi have the potential to ascend too, so I wonder if the Heavens accept some corrupt cultivators(If the corrupt cultivator isn't that much of a son of *****), or if Anon was just talking about their potential overall, like, some Death-Lords being able to match the S-tiers of Rasen, Ryugujo and the Infinite Plains.
