Kaito just seems like the most unhinged mentor in general and I love it even though I vibe with Eldra's relaxed attitude. The godhand variant of this for Aoyusumu has him about to fry thunderfaller with a lightning bolt to forcefully trigger it and word for word asking us to figure it or die even though he'd have revived us anyway or how he blows us to dust while already launching us in the air just for the fun of it or bludgeoning us with a brick wall Looney tunes style😆

I was actually concerned I wouldn't be able to fulfill the conditions of Godhand again, but master Kaito showed me the way

I didn't know there were race-based ones tbf. I only knew style synergies with background.

Looking at the code, is it just me or does 'Weapon Expertise' not actually do anything? The stats that the game points out to you after you pick a weapon against the Lost in Ebikowa. They seem to set the apval variable (which is used for various boosts to your AP), but due to what I think is a bug in the coding (aka a line indented when it is not supposed to be) only the Handwraps actually boost your Aura Pressure.

If so it seems like you should always grab the Handwraps* in the jail and then make a more thematically appropriate weapon for your build later on, assuming you care about such things.

*Unless you want the Muramasa or the stat boosts from Kurokonton and the Kunai. The AP from the Kunai otherwise (as well as the Bo Staff + Monkey) is lower than what you get from the Handwraps unless you have less than 5 power + agility.

Personally, I would say it's better to get +1 Persuasion by rallying the prisoner than getting a weapon if you are not playing Kuro.

Not exactly a sync event but as far as I remember you should get less shards from Dou Nohal if you are not human and then in Nanhou you get free 300 shards for being human.

That is also a good choice, you get an extra martial retainer at the cost of two normals, then the Persuasion helps when you free the others later. Really depends on your build and preferences though.
