I think this scene was the one that cemented Zhao Yang as my favorite mentor. Either this one or the one where he 'taxes' you 1 silver so he has an excuse to go murder the cannibal tribe without ****ing up the plan to fix your cores.

As much as I love my wife Eldra, and the fact that she basically has the best perks out of the three, I must admit when I'm defeated. I admit that Yang is the coolest out of the three
It must be crazy for Eldra's husband jade dragons to get Yang or Kaito as their mentor. Can you imagine how badly Eldra must've lost that debate? I bet she even used Harmony to get another persuasion roll.

Zhao Yang also makes you do a soul oath to get him coffee every day at 5 am for 3 years in order to fix Sakura's cores.

It's kind of unfair how even a single one of her perks blows pretty much everything else the other two offer out of the water.
In universe there is no debate or anything whoever we pick was the best decision for us whether it actually makes sense or not.
Eldra is unfair anyways lol and yeah every advantage she will give us is supposed to reflect that.
But kii or Demonic players should be picking Yang.
That's the funny thing. Can you imagine the mental gymnastics that were going on in that room?
Kii normal lunargoth mc who has best Synergy with Yang and then Eldra being master of all can also teach good stuff to that mc and then that mc choosing Kaito lol the effects of it on their intellect.
Yang:The thunderfaller is a Kiihakai user same as me who would be able to learn so many techniques from me without a cost and also is a lunargoth so he can double his gains from Runes under my tutelage that is why I believe Kaito is the best trainer for him.
Eldra:I agree having mastery over all styles and elements I can guide anyone regardless of their style and can provide them abilities no one can that is why I agree Kaito is the best option for the Thunderfaller.
