Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

I am curious about something.

Who exactly is that lady who owns the orphanage in Nanhou? Her reaction when Angelo shows up makes me wonder how she even knows him, or why she reacting like she's seen the boogieman.

Heck, even Mao gets tense when you mention Angelo.
A few people mention Saint Angelo as he is one of the Saints of the Devanic church, we even pray to him once if we are Aoyusumu during the Stallion Trial. Knowing his figure is not the weird part, it is the fearful reaction, maybe because she feels she has done something bad enough that could mean retribution or maybe something completely different.

Imagine if the orphanage owner is a whole reference to that one artwork of a woman taking care of kids that was also a former war criminal.

I am just glad that we get the choice from a gameplay pov, because knowing my luck, I would never trigger the variable for Eldra even if I did everything right.
Would getting Eldra really be difficult?

1)You only need a Yin and Yang element for harmony.
2)Eldra is the only archon who has no complaints training you.

Hell, from a gameplay perspective, she seems like the safe/no brainer option you'd put for players who don't care to play the game. None of her abilities demand action from you.

I would like to know the deal about why everyone is so tense at the mention of saint Angelo and why our Angelo is always mistaken for the the saint, and why even Mao got tense when you mention his name. That reaction definitely meant something

It's not exactly the orphanage lady who has a special background, but rather that the Angelo we know is the spitting image of a saint lord who also is named Angelo, which means some followers of the devanic faith like the orphanage lady automatically assume our Angelo is a saint lord, and because nobody can conclude what the identity of our Angelo is everybody is being cautious around him. To put it another way it's kinda like POMA, you got somebody walking around who is the spitting image of a godlike figure and they are wary of them because they don't know the extent of that person's abilities.

See, you would think so, but I have played enough VNs and IFs to know I would still draw the short straw. I would probably pick some dialogue with Kaito or something and end up with him. Though that's not a bad option, he is a fun guy... might be a cannibal, though, with that skinning sakura comment.

I thought Kaito was pretty calm about training us to be honest. Only Zhao Yang seemed like he was begrudgingly doing it at least at the beginning.

Welp, I feel like cleansing my palette a bit and taking a little break from Aura Clash.

Anywho, does anyone know of any IFs that are like Aura Clash as well? Doesn't need to be a Xianxia one (already played POMA), just any IF that has as much depth in its mechanics as this one maybe.

I'll save you the time and say right away you won't find anything like Poma and Aura clash in IF form.

To get the same itch, you'll unironically need to find actual cultivation games, with some only having fan translations.

Hero's adventure road to passion is one I found very similar to AC. That one is actually getting a sequel soon which is nice.

Okay, so can bad marriages cripple a bloodline? I am trying to get my Fang play-through started, and I wanna play as a Yokai...I already have a kitsune run. Anyway, I am looking through the races, and I see this as the lore behind reptile yokais.

"Being cold-blooded stops many reptile Beasts from Advancing into Yokai, the change is just too fundamental. It requires too much chi. For that reason, those who manage the process are incredibly frightening creatures. Whatever the reptile was when it was born, by the time your ancestor had enough power to Advance into a Yokai it had probably already Advanced into a massive tunneling Wyrm or some other variant of Dragon."

Does this mean that in lore, the MC's ancestor just smashed a bunch of weak people until we ended up as labourers? Because this is the narrator speaking, I have no reason not to believe this, and it's crazy to me how you go from that level of power to your line being labourers.

The way the lore works ( I think is) a beast after gaining lot of aura pressure has two options either path of the wild god / some type of beast or become a yokai. In the world humans exist , lunar goth spawned in but the rest took a human form cause that's optimal for cultivation. Aura pressure I don't think is genetic just because a character is strong doesn't mean their child will have all of their abilities. They still have to grow and gain aura pressure.

Wolf yokai happened as the dogs/wolves were already close to humans and some wolf beast turned into yokai. Monkeys got cultivation knowledge from their ancestor, Bovines got a lot of alchemical help and were initially herd bodyguards but got evolved.

If you are playing high honor kind female JDF , eldra tells you that you are her sister and all of you started as weak wyrms you being the runt and it took years for her to evolve and become jade dragon. Most of your siblings were still wyrms and often beastly and unintelligent. You were close to humanity and were about to become a yokai but accidentally or due to some random reason became dragon.

And the way this works is whoever has the high aura pressure the child becomes that lineage. The fact you are yokai means genetically your ancestor beat the bottleneck and will have no issue in cultivation.

Note even kitsune mc and family is weak as they are young .

I already mentioned the Xianxia part, which is really just another term for cultivation stories, and how it doesn't need to be like that. What I meant was IFs that has the same gameplay depth as AC.

I'll go ahead and check out your suggestions.

I legit think because he's a saint, so they view him as like a holy figure, connecting him to heavens?
