I was a bit disappointed with his reaction when you're a monkey and Jack thinks he tore you in half using thunderfall. I was hoping to see some...disappointment? But he seemed very relieved.

Disappointment can only be seen if your health gets zero quickly so he feeds you elixir to beat your *** he couldn't believe that mc is a fraud the other is if you don't do enough damage jack gets up and doesn't attack the mc who is out cold and just leaves.

I chalk the monkey scene not having the same consistency because you don't actually lose there and if jack was let's say disappointed it would ruin the flow of the fight and then it would be like mc beat a dejected jack.

There is one with Mao too because he is showing you off he atleast expected mc to be over 1500 ap anything less than that have him nod and get less mao rep and then there is one I think pretty low ap number if you fail that Mao is embarassed for you and himself and has to cough to get the embarassment away.

Pretty much the most telling part is tho when he can kill the mc who is out cold jack doesn't and just walks away for all his talk he doesn't want mc to die lol and truly expects mc to be great.
That is why the monkey yokai scene is off and lacks the same consistency but yeah the reason for that is as I said the flow of the fight.

Mao is deffo number 2 lol
Like if you have over 2500 ap or JDF the text says you don't go let all your ap out in thunderfall tower so mao frowns because he wanted you to style on others lmaoo.

His text also changes accordingly when you tell goro sneaked you he says "why am I not surprised if you have 2500+ap or JDF" as strong targetting strong while regular text is mc would be dead if goro wasn't holding back.

Oh yeah this chapter when he saves you from Goro he says that you really are broken as he didn't believe it either until he sees it for himself and tells you to fix yourself asap lol.

The spirit fruit buffs him by 1 point but defeating you lowers his ability by 2. I guess because he doesn't have anything to prove to himself anymore? After all, he's the greatest...

Pretty much lol a weaker mc means a weaker jack as he gets disappointed I am not kidding lol when I say he is our Vegeta lmaoo that is why the transition to a Vegeta type for him will be natural people who will keep antagonising him will always going to feel that this isn't natural as all the evidence from Jack's side says otherwise and mc and jack are protagonist and his rival so sure you can be enemies forever but when he won't be the big bad he is a rival who will be powerful so it will be just not flow as well if mc and him doesn't end up with a rivalry bond and canonically mc thinks about Jack as much lol and jack being at the top is what makes mc believes he can do it too they basically make each other stronger.

2 constants about mc regardless are him being crazy about training and the other is feeling of rivalry with jack same way jack does.

Wild lands respect strength only place where a slave can rise up via his strength and get freedom also the place where if you are strong then they will not care wild lands nobles are also the strongest in general for a reason lol disputes between sect and their magistrate are funny there as unlike other places the magistrate will send his son who will not be a bum and will be equal to the best disciple of the sect or sometimes better and equal to even the sect master.

So yeah our Village has their style their noble(khan is from wild lands tho he doesn't have mido lol)and their sectmaster.

Also the hardest or easiest path to becoming an exalt depending on how you see it if you are the strongest it doesn't matter if you lack the backing or status while if you aren't the strongest and have other stuff then it is the worst comp.I think I already shared how exalts comps go in other inner kingdom where politics, backstabbing, voting etc can hinder you a lot even Bladed lands where they have duels in exalt comp have a lot of politics going on so if you aren't from a high status it will impact things.
