Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

Something I am curious about is why there is no talent based elimination going on in the trials. Since talent dictates the max Aura Pressure you can achieve in a lifetime shouldn't the trial only be for those who have reached 1000-1500 AP(Depending on age)? Shouldn't most of the candidates get eliminated based off that?

Unless like restoring cores, Archonate has some way to increase people's talent. In which case does it even matter what talent Kosuke/siblings have? Even without directly utilising Archonate resources there must atleast be some other way to increase their talent.

The thing is the outer regions have a lower concentration of spiritual energy, and have less access to the best resources, meaning even the most talented without sufficient means are held back from achieving high ratings of AP.

Which is to say that AP in these circumstances are not necessarily an accurate indicator of talent and potential. Hence why the archons test everyone as to ensure they can observe all the talents within our generation.

These trials allow it's participants to showcase their talents and worth. Just because you don't make the Top 100 does not necessarily mean you will not be recruited by the archonate or another faction in the future should you prove your worth.

As such anyone worthwhile will still be on the radar of those in power and should the participant in question progress well enough it is more than likely they will receive offers of support.

Yeah but there must be ways to detect talent. The points is that if there is no way increase talent then shouldn't the selection be limited to those with atleast 6-7/10 talent? Because if there is no way to increase the upper limit of Aura Pressure then having people with 1-5/10 in talent participate in a trial to find future Archons just seems pointless. Like if our siblings are gonna be stuck at 4000 AP for life but they can still progress through the trials even though they never had a chance to begin with.

Only reason I can think of that this would be allowed is because there must be ways to surpass talent you are born with.

Why would you assume that there are ways to detect "talent"? How would you quantify it in the first place?

You're overthinking it. Anyone who can make it past the trials with their inner kingdom score intact and imperial trial score up is probably worth having and that's all.

Well if there are no ways to detect talent then that would answer the question of why they allow lower talent people to participate. But since it's a cultivation story, normally a way to detect talent would be expected.

As for ways, the obvious is just comparing Aura Pressure with age to deduce talent. But as @Countztime said some people might not have gotten the opportunities to achieve high aura pressure. Which just means it would need more screening.

An Aura Pressure test for basic screening. Then if someone thinks their talent is higher than their Auras Pressure suggests they could be tested. The most obvious one is "Spiritual energy absorption test", if you have higher talent you probably absorb spiritual energy easier and faster than others. So by placing candidates in a room with controlled environment of chi you can then compare their absorption rate and ease to see if they match the base talent required for entering the Archonate.

Other than that it's mostly upto anon to decide if any such means exists or not. As I said even having no means to do this would be an answer.

True. But why even test those who are destined to fail in the first place? It's especially weird for a test used to determine protectors of the empire to through away multiple lives of people who never had a chance to begin with.

Besides I am just curious that since there are ways to restore broken core maybe there will be a way to increase natural talent as well.

More like they cannot accept losing lol a masochist wouldn't be like this Jill gonna go crazy lol when we hit that 3500.
I'm assuming just as Jack loves getting spat on by female mc, Jill will enjoy such treatment from male MC. They are NOT beating masochist allegations.

You just want a talent boost for our boys and I get it but I feel like it's clouding your judgement on the matter a bit. Destined to fail? Then they'll just fail out outright. If someone passes all trials how can anyone deny them the W? We'll see if there's a special procedure for people who can't break 6k AP or 8k AP or whatever minimum archons are supposed to have in years anyway lol but I doubt such a thing is happening

All I know is that by the time the trials are done, everyone in Nanhou will know that my MC has a natural talent with the baddies :hehe:
I swear some of y'all are thirsty. Meanwhile my thunderfaller has only a more than professional relationship with Dessie, has currently blown Sakura to high heaven, thinks Leona is nuts and finds Fang's obliviousness low key annoying.
Speaking of Leona the part where we friendzoned her is hilarious, doubly so if you are on an Aoyusumu playthrough. Love that there are moments where the game doesn't take itself too seriously.

I get what you are trying to say. If they don't have ability then they won't pass the trial. But shouldn't people who don't have the talent not be tested in the first place?

The point is that these tests aren't just a way to find a candidate for the Archonship; they're a way for people to demonstrate their abilities and qualities so they can be recruited or hired by other sects or clans.

Another thing you're forgetting is that only the people of the sacred lands care about the lives of the weak, so even if there's a way to detect talent, it's much easier to simply let everyone participate in the trials, and if those who never had a chance end up dying, they won't even care.
