To add onto this Mao's way of fighting usually is making a counter even if he doesn't need it lol and could win the fight regularly and just murk the opponent before they can use their hax but because of how mao is he will make the counter and then most of the times let the opponent hit their hax and as it fails to work on him he would point at them and laugh before murking them

Like I previously said mao is a true 9/10 talent who has bad luck to say the least and along with talent one of the highest battle IQ in verse and being exceptional at fight prep and also having the dawg in him.
He still can murk the average saint lol as at 7000+ according to anon mao can beat most 8k tier people so the weak Archons , average dragons mao can beat them even as he is, he wasn't kidding when he said just because you are weaker doesn't mean you have to lose.

Who knows if he doesn't break ml but because of Jack he gets included into wild Exalt's entourage so even with ML mao would atleast get past 11k and likely hit the ml wall at 12k in Azuma honsha as the chi is way denser there that's why even the weakest archon is like 8000 ap.
So if mao breaks ml then he will go past 12000 ap too and live way longer his son being in archonate makes those chances higher but if he can't break ml but gets to cultivate in capital as a favour then he will still 12000 ap but will deffo hit a hard wall there.

Honestly, this scene is what made me turn around on Bo. The way I see it, it betrays Bo's true feelings: either that he does actually respect you as a warrior and a cultivator (maybe even seeing you as something like a friend? He was Jack's friend and I'm pretty sure we treat him better), or that he's secretly insecure about his perceived inadequacies compared to MC and Jack and is worried about being left behind. Either way, it's enough to make me actively want to support him- hell, I kinda wish there was a secret option where you can go "We don't need a soulbinding oath for me to help you, dumbass" if your relationship with him is high enough.
There will be other opportunities to crack Tian Fang. I gotta support my Bro Lo.
