Which race would you say has the best synergy with each style

Generally there's not much reactivity there . Elements tend to be more reactive to styles.

But I personally like
Human + akakiru
Lunar goth+ kiihaki
Monkey/Snake/Fox + Kuro
Any Yokai+ Mido

Bladed as best options for non humans? Lmaoo mystic and Sacred should be where you want to go then.
For wild race matters way less and strength matters more with mao basically being there yeah it will be way safer if he is your ally.
It will really depend where Mao goes tho most likely is going back to wild lands.

Yeah... That's not going to do at all . They're basically real life ancient Japan Samurai more or less, anti foreigner, your honor is seen as more important than your life and they have a very rigid caste system.

Fun fact: In 1862, a British merchant named Charles Lennox Richardson rode his horse directly into the path of a powerful regent's entourage. Satsuma samurai immediately slashed and killed him. Nah I meant before the trials even finish lol Mao will help you and As your Mao rep grows Mao will be permanent Ally for you even in book 2 as per Anon.Mao doesn't backstab or betrays or anything if he is your ally officially then yeah he will be there to help.So a High rep ally Mao is an ally for life.
Sending Clan to wild lands will deffo be safe with Mao as the Ally lol.
