The path for redemption requires the willingness from the sinner to be achieved.
You can have your compassion at 100 but if you directly offer three souls for the Hells/Demons to gain power, are you tracing the path to redemption? If you steal, if you kill, if you only help aiming your own benefits and is willing to not so if not helping benefits you more, are you aiming redemption?
But there is no problem at all, because it's a already established thing that in the Heavenly Bureaucracy exists way worse monsters.

in AC John Auraclash went into a graveyard and got 3-4 skill points, 100+AP, 2 techniques and banged a goth baddie
in POMA Wu Fraud slaughtered an entire city for 30 Qi, an incomplete asura technique (which needs to be fed more qi to get) and got all of his bones broken by yang bohai
The story is different, pick your poison twin 😭✌️

Honestly, that's what kinda made me not like POMA. At first I thought Wu Heir would actually be just an ordinary cultivator that's going to achieve what they could achieve, but the moment the whole reincarnation of an outer realm god stuff happened, I immediately wanted out.

Doesn't help that somehow, the Qi system is objectively worse than the supposedly impure Inner Energy system in terms of gameplay. The worst part is the fact that you could STILL lose despite meeting the checks.

Friendship ended with Wu Fraud, now John Auraclash is my new glaze figure, I know Crusher Jack agrees with me.

Kain is guaranteed he is a top 10 guy and with sakura gone if he was MC's ally he would likely make it into top 5 though his worse is still going to be top 10 finish as per anon he is around 2500 ap at the start of trials so he would only grow in power too so of the 50 people I talked about who are 2000+ ap at the start apart from top 5 he is the strongest.

But all in all these 50 people are guaranteed to qualify and pretty easily their main goal is to get higher rankings the only way these people fail is getting disqualified something like Sakura.

Book 2 these other strong people who do make it to archonate will have way more story because they will be your allies,acquaintances and even friends so just like the mc they are also on their journey mc gets too much into spotlight because of being jack's rival that's why Goro wants to beef with you and if 2 of the top 5 have eyes on you others join quickly and your work in Ebikowa and Harehama also gave mc enough limelight to have some fame .Being Jack's rival also gives mc self belief that he can make into top 5.So yeah Jack and MC's rivalry drives them both.

He really pulled a bait and switch on us with that because we spent the first several years of the story with the inner energy system and we didn't even get to reach Xiantian before it became meaningless
 
The only way POMA can be saved imho is if Nikki bites the bullet, remakes the entire game and removes all the cultivation bullshit and makes the game called Path of Martial arts actually about Martial Arts. The wuxia setting which the game originally was worked perfectly and you could easily do the whole MC is reincarnation of Tang Wei withou introducing other worlds and stupid plotlines that make no sense. Its crazy because the interesting parts about future plots about rebuilding our clan or a civil war become irrelevant because Nikki wanted the story to be of a higher scale than it should have been.

What I don't like about the qi system is it's flawed and unbalanced. Flawed bcz you spend qi and then still got stat checked, the system basically checks if you got enough qi which is a consumable and then check spell power which is the stats that actually determine if you succeed. This double check is so *** bcz if you don't have enough qi then it's locked, if you have enough qi but not enough spell power then you just got robbed of qi.
Then unbalanced bcz if you play as kind neutral Wu fraud you're dying from thirst of qi since you need to kill ppl or even entire city for paltry amount of qi. But if you're despicable and devious rogue Wu fraud + romance mei + mentor bohai you're drowning in qi since you kill so many people, unlock asura, realm fist and tri dao. If you're playing evil just go to console and change your name to Wu Sukuna bcz at 100 despicable you're literally satan incarnate

While I agree with liking how S are just ants in the grand scope of things, I disagree with the futility of trying to restore the glory of the Wu clan. Let me raise my clan from declining bums to the ruler of POMA world and then ruler of the myriad realms as I raise through the cultivation ladder goddamnit!

Honestly, Niki's sin is two fold. Scope-creep this early in the series (the reveal of a greater plane beyond the world and actual cultivators descending into here should be done at the tail end of book 1, would make a great sequel hook), and expanding upon things the players would never be able to experience (post Nascent Soul contents).

This is like if Anon spends more time fleshing out the realm of ascendants and saying that there're realms even above ascendant, but you'd NEVER get to play it since the story ends with your ascension. Cool, but, what's the point?

POMA is bad in every single angle for me. I don't like any of the ROs or characters; tang ruo is a horrible rival (like, jack and mc drives each other to be better, and every single powerup jack gets it is because he worked hard, not because he is heavens favorite), the plot have no stakes in it to drive the MC forward; Wu Fraud is dumb and looks like a side character; the dao paths are all boring and uninspiring, it makes all of the fights and battles scenes the same thing every single time; not to mention if you do not play the game in a specific way (being a evil piece of ****) you miss most of the content. If the whole Qi thing was mc exclusive and all of the other worlds plot was not in the story, it would be better, for sure. But niki would need to keep his obvious favoritism in check and not be afraid of making the MC powerful and the de facto main character of the game. But from what i gather of the people in the poma thread, his paying fans in patreon are all wu fraud haters and tang ruo glazers. Absolutely pathetic.

For me it's because I just got uninterested in the whole thing at some point. I could never replay POMA as it felt like slog to get through each time and I was never invested in properly building up my Wu heir because everything seemed all over the place but maybe that's a skill issue on my end and this was like a year ago so I just used to stick to story mode and call it a day. The reverse is the case with AC because of the seemingly endless variation and events between races and styles and even backgrounds.

Does anyone else wonder what Anonymous planned for that vaqua yokai from the orphanage? Because I doubt he would have given her a portrait if she wasn't going to appear again in the story.

I'm pretty sure the thunderfaller will be able to bang her in future chapters lmao 😭

That's really all I can think about regarding what her role in the story is gonna be
