Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

Getting junkships, Jin a Job,clan robes and desmodena quest can all give points ro retainer strength. Theres more i forget but i never really struggle getting it to 40.
Additionally, if akikaru, you can leona train them and feed them herbs for best results
And during the second taio scenario, havibg high presuation give martial retainers(specifically if you choose come with me if you want to live i think)
Training them during the 3/4 dau journy to nanhou
And most importantly, there is a job where you can send your retainers, i think deep sea fishing, that increase their strength

You're probably tweaking. There is the Dragon fist attack at the end of the fight, but that's for Ki only.
He actually isn't. It's been a minute since I played a reptile yokai but reptile yokai is able to disrupt Jack's snake eater technique by using walking dragon although you only get that section by eating an ambush attack from Jack when he comes out of his snake summon.

I've tried to make the Godthreaded Belt from the Lightbringer's Soul Treasure multiple times since it seems to be the only equipment that increases Retainer Strength, but every time, it just doesn't go into my inventory because of a bug. Looking back on this thread, it seems to have been a well-known bug that got patched out by Anon in the past, but has returned? Though when I tried making the Godslayer Jian instead, no such bug occured. This is really inconvenient since I was hoping to dual wield Muramasa and Shishido for double Cursecasting and rely on the belt for my Retainer Strength since in my non Aoyu runs, I always manage to get it to 38-39, just missing one point.
Saying this just in case but the Godthreaded belt is supposed to be a belt not an accessory. Never had that bug myself.

Just to be sure, don't try to equip the belt right after making it instead get out of the foundry then equip it.

The variance of this game is seriously insane. With five styles, eight elements, six categories of transformations, with Titan supposedly having different flavor text for each Yokai race and Soul Domain having different variants depending on the element used or if the user chooses for a Physicsl Domain, and then three seperate teachers, one that gives literal immortality, whereas the other gives the secrets of Yin/Yang Buddha, and the last is your uncle. I wonder what will really happen with the sequel books. If Anon can really write all of that whilst maintaining the quality, Aura Clash might just become the actual GOAT of text-story games, which I already consider it to be since its actually funny and the only proper "Shonen"-type choice game. For real, I've never replayed any other text-story game, its only Aura Clash that makes me want to do the exact same playthrough over and over again just to see how much I can save scum and min-max. I love this game bro

I just want to learn how to eat ghosts, why do demonic bums get dibs on them :(
“The default fate of the dead is to rejoin your spirit with the planet's natural energies and become one with the world. Reincarnation is the second most common fate. If you work with Fiends or cultists there's a good chance you get claimed by a Hell. If you die too close to a Hell Anchor you're probably getting captured too. Most people, even powerful Martial Artists, cannot work with the souls of the dead. It's not like Chi. It's easier for spirits who can assist the dead with their return to the planet, and demons teach it to demonic cultivators so they can manipulate/harness souls like they do.”
Found Anon explanation to it, you're welcome.

How do you get the energy block that appears as the alternative to your Technique Proficiency check in the Dragon Trial Jack fight?

Who do you all think is the 'Final Villain' for book 1? Would it be the White Tiger? I think it'd actually be in future books, my bets is on the original Taio or even just Jack again
If we're talking about who we're facing in the burning village we see at the start, it's almost certainly Taio. Jack is too longterm of a rival, I feel like our actual final final match with him won't come until book 4 or something. Meanwhile, Taio has been a consistent threat to us ever since we first became a martial artist, it would wrap things up nicely for us to mark our entrance into the archonate by getting rid of him.

Is there any way for Kiihakai to beat the Grim before the Devanic Temple without getting the fire Element? As far as I know, Kiihakai is the only Style without a straightforward way of beating it and thus need to rely on an element, which is only possible for fire, an inconvenience when you don't want the fire element

You will have to do it with a common poison + 2 Alchemy.

You can get common poison from the Fortitude training where you get stung by bees or during childhood by training stealth and choosing to find a snake. Or you can buy it too though no point in wasting shards when you can get it for free.
