Considering the Thunderfaller is obviously gonna end up ascending by the end of Book 2 or later, what happens if they're a Demonic Cultivator? Get trapped in hell? Furthermore, what about Monkey Yokai with Sun Wukong's inheritance? Won't the Heavens recognize that immediately?
Also, will Reptile Yokai just become a Dragon after ascending? That'd be so lit ngl, might just become the best race after Oni in my opinion if that's the case

Do you guys have any advice on maximizing Mido run with no corruption? I really struggled on that 6 per core check before the Taio fight, literally only missing one, which probably wouldn't have happened if Trapper wasn't so ahh and the Walking Dragon Technique didn't bug
I know it's against the Mido larp but abandon trapper for herbalist or merchant.
This, despite the match Trapper has with Mido, you're unironically better off with Herbalist or Merchant. You really can't beat the extra money or the extra AP you get from both backgrounds. The birb ain't even helpful if you're gonna be aiming to be able to win your fights anyway.
Why hasn't peer pressure forced anon to make Trapper good yet?
Actually switched to herbalist because of it. My default was always aoyu+merchant bc of the early currency you can amass as a merchant but herbalist positively surprised me with all the mini events and AP gains scattered about. Money ended up not being much of an issue as I hoped especially on getting to nanhou where you have ample opportunity to get more funds.Trapper rn seems by far the worst background with nothing other than us getting the bird. Even blacksmith has something like being able to dual wield if you're on Eldra's mentor route if you don't meet the other requirements for dual wielding beforehand

Book 2 is about our Archon training & Missions. Book 3 about our Grandkid. Book 4 return to Thunderfaller, being now a Top-Tier of the world.
Regarding Demonic Cultivators. As Corrupted Chi is unbalanced and outside the Heavenly Dao/Will, a corrupt cultivator can't ascend. Their option, basically, when a Demonic Cultivator is strong enough for/Some extremely powerful Demons/Fiends: Is to a open a Artificial Domain that will be know as a "Hell". It's based on Soul Anchor(s) that if destroyed would indeed cause in the collapse of the Dimension, but that is nearly impossible. As Anon said, it's extremely difficult to find the Soul Anchor and the closer you get to one the stronger is the Demon-Ruler power in the environment, to a point that reality-warping powers are a possibility.
Some of the "Thousands Hells" were already invaded and it ended extremely bad to the invaders, because the most usual end is to the Invader fail to a Soul Trap and end being turned to fuel to the Hell.
Hells are artificial pocket dimensions rather than a proper Realm, as compared to the Mortal Realm and the Heavenly Realm/Bureaucracy. There are thousands of Hells(And they're informally called of it, "Thousand of Hells"), and usually they're bigger than the world they're linked to. By Anon words, some of the Hells are so much bigger that they indeed can be confused with a proper Realm, although they aren't, formally.
If I'm not mistaken, Anon also commented that a Hell being generated "naturally" by a huge agglomeration of corrupted Chi is also possible.
In short, a hell is a artificial pocket dimension created by a Extremely Strong Fiend/Corrupt Cultivator that now rule it as a "Demi-God". These hells have a Soul Anchor and some of them are extremely bigger than the World they're linked to, with multiple branches. So much bigger that is natural to think it's a proper Realm.
Anon was ambiguous regarding this one, but based on his explanation, although is extremely difficult to find and destroy a Soul Anchor, a particularly strong Ruler of one Hell may can invade and conquer another.

LIterally just a few more AP, but I'm a sucker for AP and can't handle any check fails, so I always use Handseals to cheat my way through every situation. I had min-maxed this Mido build with the right Core Distribution, removed my Weighted Clothing just for that single check to increase my Agility by 1 core, then was only left lacking a single Soul Core, something that would have not happened if Walking Dragon actually worked! Bro that was the entire reason why I chose Reptile Yokai
So the endgame is we literally become a Demon Lord with our own Dungeon World? Bro why would we ever choose to be in Chinese Heaven instead, that sounds a lot better.
How many books are planned in this series then? And will the ascension be the ending of the book, or through the book itself? I kinda want to play as a Demi-God Demon Lord Aoyu Oni, who obviously will have his own Devil Transformation from the context clues, and managed my Hell. It'd be funny if I just made my Hell really luxurious and comfortable, with the Demonic Chi being gathered from just the positive emotions I gather with Aoyusumu powers. Literally making my own Heaven just because I don't want to deal with bureaucracy...
My prediction is that it will be extremely useful in the 2nd book, and we'll look like total losers choosing Merchant for the cash. Mido is obviously Anon's favorite style, so it wouldn't really surprise me
What are your highest AP ever reached in the current demo's ending and what build did you use (Non-JDF / ML)? I know there's a lot of Kurokonton glaze here, but my actual highest was a Kiihakai Lunargoth and Aoyusumu Oni who both reached about 3000 AP (both Demonic Cultivators)
Because you are very weak in that grand scales what totenkopf described is the best scenario the average hell is smaller than an inner kingdom in size and you are still an ant to even the weakest Ascended and still even the biggest best hell will be cooked by a United Rasen not the world just United Rasen can destroy hells according to Anon.

This was in regards to talk about destroying hells it only ever ends bad because it's just the temple alone doing it no support from the capital or the 5 inner kingdoms and even then few times the temples have been successful without any real support.
So with all the hell stuff you are only stronger than the people in real World only inside your hell if you are outside it you aren't that far above you are only one of the top tiers like legitimately Wukong can still beat a demon lord solo even a few others can in a 1 vs 1 Wukong himself is stuck as a wild god and is weaker than any ascended.
If it isn't Obvious the only reason they need a force is because of the demon lord not being in the real World.
The reason why the demon lords aren't stronger simply because without ascending you lack the resources for a higher ap and second demonic chi is temporary and like a fuel you need to keep filling it back up it's a temporary source.So solo Power gains are stuck at a level and you need to be in your hell to actually be above the other top tiers.
As for heavens in AC the bureaucracy is easy going unlike the Chinese one and there are a lot of gods from throughout the vast universe of Aura Clash so it isn't Chinese mythology you will have some names from there but then names from other mythos there is no one king in heavens it is like a council of the strongest Ascended.
A Hell's lord is still a Country tier and inside his hell he is stronger still not even a continent tier really.
While the newly Ascended is already a planet buster and after that it's only bigger levels like solar system,then galaxy then more and more.
The only reason hells aren't eradicated on spot by Ascended is because they are hidden and even if they weren't an Ascended destroying it from heavens will cause a lot of collateral to the world.
Having kaito's foundation and then trying to get something similar to a shard dome is way better deal if you don't want to ascend simply because hells only has brutes and people who are basically fuel even though some do make other things it's still not an Actual society because even if the lord is smart and visionary the people who partake in demonic Cultivation are unpleasant and shortsighted bums for the most part.

I see, I thought this was more like Xianxia where Demon Lords and the Ascended are actually the same thing, just different factions. It seems that Demonic Cultivators really are bums, though I'd wager that Anon will probably write something that allows Demonic Cultivator Thunderfaller to become a God. I mean, I feel like you're essentially wasting your time if you don't demon cultivate as an Oni. There are certain tropes like being a 'Heavenly Demon', after all, and even in Dragon Ball, the Demons are equal to the Gods.
I feel like Taio's research will be exactly this. What is his plan anyway? I believe he is already on the cusp of becoming a Demon Lord (Original Taio), but is poseponing it so he can research a way to ascend as a Demonic Cultivator. Demonic Thunderfaller will probably acquire this special method from absorbing his ahh, and I believe that White Tiger Chi might be a key component to this, which is why he even bothers being an Akuma Lord and always urges the MC to cultivate as much White Tiger Chi as possible so he can use our body in the future if we fail.
Though I wouldn't it put it past him if this wasn't the case, as Taio is the biggest bum we fight.
Regarding the existence of Evil Gods, which must exist considering you only have to not have Demonic Chi to Ascend, not be a good guy, I wonder if any of them would be interested in assisting our research to become a Demon God.
Furthermore, is Sun Wukong really not ascended? Well, perhaps his journey hasn't finished yet and we'll probably help him Ascend if we're Monkey Yokai.
...Or he's actually just a Mist Clone, which would be fitting considering the first time we see him is when he gives us this weird *** technique that creates Clones without using any elements.
Ac already has a structure also the demons in Db still are inferior to destroyers so nah even if you take db you will be weak as hell ascended are more like Angels of db since they aren't supposed to even interfere with the planets unless something big happens and even then limited,still the comparison doesn't matter here.
Anon has talked about giving a small branching thing for demonic Cultivatiors in book 5 whome the real book will be about Ascended an nah since it isn't like xianxia no heavenly demon can exist unless you count an Oni Ascending that way sure lol but if you have any Demonic chi you cannot ascend.Heavens doesn't matter for us till book 5 when you be Ascended till then it's just the gods making sure that there is life.Anon's has only consumed Cradle for cultivation.Ac is basically a Shonen with Cultivation(xuanhuan)
For Wukong he is actually closer to the real journey to the west Wukong unlike the wanked versions in other media since journey to the west has no real cosmology scale and the earth is like the only setting with it's gods ,AC has it from the entire Cosmos so Wukong is actually closer to the real journey to the west version a very strong guy unlike the later media which wanked him into what people think he is lol because even at the end of his journey getting enlightened still doesn't mean much when the cosmology and scale was just the planet and it's heavens also Wukong of AC is a wild god he simply cannot Ascend only dragons and humans can ascend oni, yokai and kitsune are considered human in the grand schemes since they or their ancestor already worked for this only.Wukong is a beast only ,a beast gets a false ascension they get the immorality,the 5 styles and 8 elements but power wise they barely get anything just get uncapped but barely any wild god is above 21k ap.While Ascended change fundamentally and become stronger just by existing tho training makes an ascended grow faster.
Evil is relative term there are many netural and what we would call "evil" guys up there but they would cull a demonic for free lol even the ac World's normal evil guys would do the same Akuma bums are the only exception along with New yomi but that entire country thinks they are doing something big even Taio calls them delusional for it.
So while you can be evil up there you will still need to do your duties which are more or less of a god who takes care of Cosmos.
Rivalries and infighting happens in heavens even tournaments but you can't be outright evil at large there simply because the oldest Ascended are some of the most virtuous people it's because of them the entire AC universe is full of life they make sure that planets are protected from cosmic issues there would be a lot less planets with life without them they make Worlds or systems viable for life for example making sure stars radiation is managed or a rogue planet doesn't collide or when galaxies merge the planets with life are unharmed making sure nothing comes and anything similarly that can threaten the planets. Ofcourse a young Ascended can only take care of a planet while old ones can take care of countless galaxies.
In a way even if someone is morally evil and would get other ascended killed or F*cked over they are still a net positive for the universe that would be the best way to describe the selfish or evil gods.
It's because of those old gods who made this order of making sure universe is full of life otherwise life would have a harder time there would be very few planets with life let alone Worlds with Cultivation.
Still plenty of nasty dudes up there who would want you dead they are simply just not some mass murderers or murder hobos so politics and struggle for power exists some don't care for it some do it's just the job is one that is of making sure life persists.
As for the council of the strongest Ascended the oldest ones are all over billions of years old whole the youngest ones are like a few million years though the youngest ones are still below in power than the oldest ones but they are strong enough to qualify they are the ones who can be haughty and arrogant not evil but deffo arrogant while the oldest ones are virtuous old heads.
Book 5 is basically god simulator for MC as he lives his Life as an Ascended among the other freaks as almost everyone who ascends is a winner and freak of nature the only exceptions are the good virtuous mortals or even martial artists who get Ascended because of their self sacrifice or being a virtuous Man who is good at their work.
Like a farmer who was ascended he is in heavens now and he never Cultivated he has zero ap and he was ascended because he was a honest farmer Good at his craft and a virtuous person so he was chosen so heavens does this from time to time from the entire universe.
