Again if you are strong then poison literally doesn’t work on you. Because the poison is weaker than you. Your own blood gapes the poison in your veinsI mean poison immunity in a world where Kuro users can disguise as your family and wife and than put like 40 different poisons in your body seems pretty useful.
And while Kii and Mido also have regeneration, it's not enough to the point where itll be a significant part of a fight against someone around your power level, where's the flayed god foundation allows you to keep regenerating so long as you have enough Chi, essentially allowing you to take no physical damage. Which i think is especially important as we get stronger since the stronger you get the longer the fights would be around your power level.
That’s why at the highest level, everything devolves right back to hand to hand. Tricks stop being effective and just becomes distractions.
The only good use of it would be to protect your family from the poisons and curses and… That’s not how the Flayed God foundation works.
You make a point but I’d argue that’s such an edge case it’s practically a niche.
The same applies to normal Kii and Mido. They’ll keep regenerating so long as they have Chi in their body.
And even if our fights get longer, it’s literally harder to damage us. If you get an arm blown off, sure, you’ll be able to regrow it… But you got your arm blown off in the first place, means you’ll just regrow it again, and again and again.*
The trick is to be strong enough that you can’t have your arm blown off in the first place.
Regardless, I feel I should preface this by saying.
I’m not saying Flayed God is mid trash. Far from it.
I actually think it’s the 2nd best out of the 4 foundations on offer.
JDF’s Dragon Nest is the best, followed by Flayed God, followed by Jade Lotus Chi, followed closely by whatever TrueGold Foundation he gives.
Of TrueGold’s foundation, he actually offers some gems and a lot of mid. The Hellscape one and Lunargoth runes are the big bonuses iirc.
*To give an idea how this was deployed at a high level. When Eldra, BeastBone and TrueGold fought Guzzy together, BeastBone’s entire job was to die.
Literally.
His job was to focus all of Guzzy’s attention onto himself and keep dying over and over and over from her attacks so that Eldra and TrueGold can push Guzzy back out to sea and stop coming near the shipping routes.
