I'll talk about my two cents with this I've been reading in the future sense the start when I saw the first reddit post even used to get emails in my Gmail of all the updates the author in the old thread they used to get very disappointed from the lack of engagement towards their updates I always read em I just don't like commenting on the forums and for valid reasons I dislike alot of the people there in general they got so upset so much so that they stopped posting updates completely it was multiple comments daily trying to get people to engage but you just can't force people to read if you don't make your writing that much depth in the first place.
Ai is a touchy subject especially in the art/writer community I read the entire book of in the future the writing is lackluster if anything so I could potentially see the rumors being somewhat true this person did rush update after update when they were posting updates quite quickly too a year ago maybe I just didn't see it because the book was so short and I wanted to see improvement either way that person is kinda an *** for using ai and subjecting the author to those assumptions even when they used it themselves.
My advice for that author would be to improve the sequel if the writing does not then I'm gonna raise an eyebrow even wayhaven Changes after each book so if it doesn't we'll have an answer but the very abrasive way they are reacting to the allegations and ignoring multiple people when they asked for weeks maybe doesn't look good at all I do agree.
It's somewhat a shame too I remember when this author got so much support when they first posted the wip on reddit but it's just not engaging enough for people even for me the local red flag
enjoyer you just can't force everybody to like your writing unfortunately I used to like in the future at the start I could see the potential to get better but it just didn't even when I finished the book I felt meh for decorum and for the rest of the cast who we never got to see until the end or at all.
Whether it was used or not this book is mid in my opinion I would rather this person improve as an author if they can I read through the entire thing not once really felt anything for the Mc or for any of the other characters also the nsfw one scene was completely mid as well if you can't write that then you shouldn't put it in at all it was literally just a licking and kissing scene aka wtf territory level of boring I'm being hard on this wip but the material just doesn't seem like it was worked on that much with the understanding of what they were writing.
It's not surprising choices put an ai warning though they don't want potential authors slandering at all which I do understand but I wonder how they actually handle things if the accused are guilty one day I don't think I've seen any other ai writing besides from the shared completed wips/books on here before.
