Good IFs/WIPs that are finished/actually ongoing and not in some void state

I am creating this one for a sort of a good recommendation thread. since I don't recall finding one like this.
It is to be used to add your favourite IFs or WIPs that are either finished or are actively being worked on, and are not on some hiatus (fancy name for cancelled usually). It is also helpful to add why you think is good, what you liked about it, stuff like that.

Anywho, I'll start by adding a couple of my recommendations.

For all the lovers of dark academia (such as myself), I have to add Ballad of the Young Gods. A WIP that I find absolutely beautiful in terms of writing, and a truly captivating story, which is being actively worked on. Always a huge bonus in my book 😂 (also, all the names of the WIP ones will be linked to the games, while the finished ones won't)

Next up is "Lost in Your Eyes: A Dark Fantasy Romance Book". Quite an entertaining take on the whole vampire genre, and the best part is a) overpowered MC and b) absolutely amazing ROs. Story is also well paced, combining both action and drama, so there's something for anyone.
Also Kat is one of the only authors who updates as frequently as I (both in regards to the game and info about what's going on progress wise). Hell, Kat even updates more than me, so kudos to that:tiphat:

A mage reborn book and, and a the second book (even though the second is yet to be finished, but so far, it is insanely good) are peak. For real, even if the first book is short, the pacing is perfect, powerful mc, very interesting story, and a heart-breaking sacrifice that I think should be seen in the IF space more often. 10/10

The werewolf saga ("Shadow, tooth and claw" is the name of the saga), a four book series. Three are currently out, and the fourth one is in the making, and I must say, for the werewolf fans out there, it is amazing, and as far as I know, it is in the same universe as Vampire the Masquerade, so extra points for that.
Nonetheless, quite a fun series, powerful mc, especially with the dlc cheats.

Mentioned it somewhere here, but Jolly Good is a very good one as well. Slice of life, and when you combine it with the dlc extra monies stuff, you truly feel like a Lord/Lady that you are in the game. (Tally Ho is good too, but I personally liked Jolly Good better)

If anyone wishes to contribute, feel free😌🙌

I think you mean Shadow, Claw and Sage, which, yeah, are pretty good but are not linked to Vampire: The Masquerade; they are different universes, since werewolves in the White Wolf are not really like Werewolves in other universes. There is a deep sense of esotericism and apocalyptic dread that accompanies them, and they are technically super-weapons created by the Earth itself instead of being some sort of genetic mutation like those of the COG series' werewolves are.

Shadow, Claw and Sage
Could be; I must have mistaken it with something from the game itself (way of the claw and all that), so thank you for pointing it out! (edit, I just checked, and yeah, you are right. I was combining it with some things from the game, and have named it wrong because of it. My bad😅)
but are not linked to Vampire: The Masquerade
Could be that I'm mistaking it with The Book of Hungry names then? Or simply because the author has made many vampire games set in the world of darkness universe, hence my wrongful connection?
Yeah, that's probably it. And if that's the case, I do apologise, for my memory seems to be connecting things that are, in reality, not connected 😂

Thanks for pointing those out! Though yeah, I still think that the series is quite good, so that it something that I got right😂

I just found out To Reign In Hell - ngl havent progressed far but it looks promising... Also Cantata is pretty good..just released chapter 5 and the writer published another IF so likely to get finished. cool characters and concept. and.ofc shepherds of *gets shot*
You can add Shepherd of Haven! 😂 And you can like Blade as well!😂
It's a free country, and your likes are as valid as anyone else's😌😼

i'm looking for an if with a slow burn romance that feels juse like the mc and seven frome infamou IF , help
The first thing that comes to my mind is apartment 502, specifically the A romance route, thoooough, as much as I'm fond of it, the ****ing thing has been radio silent for quite some time now, so I'm not sure what the **** is happening with it.
Buuut, if you wish for something longer than that, or something that is either finished or being actively worked on, Ballad of the Young Gods could be the thing for you, though that's where my recollection ends. Everything else I can think of wouldn't really fall under the slow burn romance you're looking for

I have a love-hate relationship with Breach, but despite that, I’d still recommend reading the demo for the second book. Specifically, the FBI route. Because the Archangel route is just utterly mediocre in every sense. I still don’t understand how the same author could have written the FBI route, which is a 10/10 peak fiction, and the Archangel route, which is a 6/10 at the very best.

I’d also highly recommend Pactbinder. It’s your typical dark academy story, but with a very interesting premise and genuinely intriguing secrets. Huge bonus points for the MC — it’s one of the few IFs where the MC is done right, where you play as a very interesting protagonist who isn’t just a background character, as is often the case in many IFs.

.... A suit of armour...

Tastes truly are subjective.

Anyways, it's been a while since I played that. Do you remember all the romance options?

Not fancying a man who literally fused into his armor due hells machinations? fair enough

There r 3 main™ romances - a fallen angel of sort: Archivist,,, a harpy like demon: Shrike and..this one more evil character whose name i forgot. And other 3 with less content which includes the armor guy 👍and another guy and a woman (demoness?) i know very detailed ~

So far, these are my current fave wips that are frequently being updated:

1966- I like it better than One Knight Stand. The author updates consistently as well.

Split: The mortal wound- Majority of us like it. Don't say I'm wrong cause I know I'm not. 💅🏻

Walls of Natrun- Ngl I didn't really find this author's first game that memorable, but I give saturnine a 7/10. This one's way better. Maybe it's because of the humor? Or the fact that I find the rival hot....Both, but leaning towards the latter ehehehheeheh

The Golden-Eyed Raven- Crossing my fingers on this one. It's good but idk, It's these types who majorly discontinue, but author seems to have braincells so...it's 60/50.

How dare the author not make MC the most powerful... They're only third or even lower in the rankings...

This one is suspiciously good 🧐 Okay, there are a few things that annoy me, but considering my picky taste it's not that much 🤷. I really hope it won't die.

Anyone who's P hater, raise your hand! ✋

What else is good about it?? I glanced at the description, shrugged, and moved on, but I'm thinking of giving it a chance, maybe. There is nothing interesting to read now...

... it was supposed to be a comedy, right? I find the writing style rather weird.
