Help modding

I tried modding a game using APK editor(go to scenes and edit files) but I keep getting this error

"INSTALL_FAILED_VERIFICATION_FAILURE: Package Verification Result"

I remember it used to work a few years ago so something must've changed

I'll be grateful If someone can help me with this
