A suggestion that might work better for the mods, and that will not allow people chatting on the official thread:
Why not make two separate threads?
1. One in which people are freely able to request any games they're looking for, which wouldn't need as much moderation to keep things clean. That way, people who don't bother to check whether a game has been shared or not or those who for some reason think chatting on the main thread is a good idea, are not going to ruin the whole thread by adding onto the clutter on the main thread.
2. The actual main thread, in which users can submit the actual links. All posts are submissions that the mods would have to allow or deny.
It would make navigation less tedious. It seems a great way for blocking idiots from spamming and making it hard to sort for the mods.
