Yes i encounter it, during my playthrough, you need to be general in cavalry to avoid that error l, i don't know about infantry though

I think it only occurs with the saves from the previous version, I also got this error, but then I started a fresh run and it worked as it should.
I try to play a new playthrough as a woman and it end when Napoleon recall us to Cairo
