Thank you for reading and responding to my comment again! It's good to know that there are people who think similarly to me. Honestly, it's a shame that it's like this, I think this style of game has a lot of potential. It's literally everything a bookworm would want! To be able to choose the direction the story will take! At least for me, when I read a book, that's something I always think about. I can only hope that it changes in the future...

Why not check out Fallen London? It's a browser game with lots of things to do (but requires lots of clicking). I was going to suggest CYS but someone already mentioned that. The inkle games have pretty good writing: 80 days, sorcery! Series. Old gamebooks like Lone Wolf have apps you can play
