So, today I had the day off and decided to play POMA again, since Danger Zone. I strived to earn as much and spend as little Qi as possible, meaning I had to spend a lot of gold. The data I collected on the route I took is:

Maximum Qi acquired -> 111
Amount Qi remaining at the end -> 83
Max Refinement Points -> 27

I didn't suffer any defeats, yet I purposely failed some stats checks. I only modified gold, dao and alignment. Normal.

Stats

Strength 9000
Agility 8000
Constitution 8000
Vitality 10000
Perception 10000
Charisma 1000

I use the berserk talent to raise str/agi/con in combat
Nice. In my case I maximized STR, AGI, CON and PER, raised VIT to 9000, CHR to 6000 and invested the rest in health. I used Void Pathways and Overloaded Pathways.

Something interesting that these numbers show is that the current base MC is an MC that can have all stats maxed out, even in Normal mode, which means it's canon. If we consider that perks and talents that enhance infusion are also canon, since in certain fights some stat checks are unachievable with standard infusion or without difficulty decreases, then an untransformed MC with 18k in stats should be canon.

You're basically immortal if you combine the right perks with berserk, I tanked that Bohai hit after betraying him, usually waste a life saving artifact after the betrayal because the hit would kill you

Speaking of which, I'm curious to know how much Asura increases attributes. I remember reading that at Demon Queen level it's by a factor of six, but that at Houtian level it would be lower... Of course, her technique is incomplete, so we can't really estimate, maybe it's even much better for the MC, since he's a cultivator, just as Ai's physique worked much better than it should have... At the very least, I hope it's by a factor of 2 to 2.5.

Considering they’re not Physiques, it’s probably not canon, so canonically, who knows how the MC is supposed to reach those numbers 🤷‍♂️

Pure Organs is not a legendary talent, it's epic, and even without it it is possible to reach 14k~16k.

As for the ones that are, it makes sense to say that they're not physiques, but it doesn't make much sense for the author to say that they're just game mechanics, since they're obtained in a canonical scene (the conversation with Lady Sha), one of them can literally revive the MC, plus certain talents are mentioned more than once in the story, (regeneration and beauty).

For the author to state this outside of his game strikes me as a lazy solution to a problem that isn't even really a problem. It only causes him to contradict what has already been written. I'm sorry if anyone thinks differently or if it seems like I'm insulting the author, that's not my intention. I'm just making an honest criticism.

They are not canon in a sense that characters won't go "Gee, Wu Heir, it's almost like you were Blessed by a Tiger ™️ with how agile you are". There are some exceptions like Captivating Beauty and Regeneration, obviously, but more "minor for the plot" stuff like exp boosts probably will never be mentioned in the story (which I think is fine, I think it would take you away from the story too much with constant comments about your minmaxxing talents).
I do hope stuff like Phoenix Heart or even Alignment talents will be mentioned more - for roleplay sake and stuff.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant by “a problem that isn't even really a problem”. The hard part, which is the coding, he's already done; adding the talents to the canonical as a minor plot would be as simple as adding a few sentences. For example: “Perfection has been with me since birth” (Perfect Body), “ Goodness/Evil always rewards me” (Paragon/Overlord) or “I'm a money magnet” (Business). None of the talents, with the exception of Martial Sovereing, are like cheats or game-breaking.

My point is, making the talents canonical wouldn't do any harm, the MC's situation wouldn't change at all because the rest of the characters have equally good and even superior advantages. I mean, Dao is literally the most op thing there is and yet MC has no guarantee of winning the tournament.
