To me until He Gang is dead he is worse than Rou. Gaining Qi is one thing and now actively hurting your family and loved one is another. It's why I never understood the hate Rou gets when their are people like He Gang who gains qi easily while making your life miserable. Everything Rou hater says about Rou apply to He Gang and worse is his actively going after your loved one who can't defend themselves.

Same, my biggest turning point from angry rivality into hate was his cowardly nature, he gang had everything: resources, advantage of being older and more experienced, backing of the he clan, backing of the rogues (turned into a cultivator and given powerfull arts that steal qi) and he still a pussy_.

Instead of getting even more ahead of us by reaching qi sea or trying to get even on a death match, he tries hurting our loved ones and connections on a psychologic war (that he himself loses If you go provoke him instead of attacking) at least ruo even with all his bullshit is still a equal/rival, he gang is Just a clown that will get his meridians burned and his dantian devoured as a supplement.

How does rebirth work as a cultivator? Do we advance just like that? Will the elders and others know whether we advanced or will they just sense we are way strong for a PH or something like that? Wouldnt they get suspicious if we don't get reborn for advancing to X?

Probably a totally different advancement, my best shot is on a transformation/quality change of our own qi, tang wei or his teacher (idr right now) already said that qi is the key to evolution and by cultivating youre taking control of how you evolve instead of letting the heavens/nature do Its own thing.

The elders already cant sense our realm, just a vague overall of our strength, they would get suspicious but honestly they already know a lot of **** about us, the fact that we are one of tw clones, qi and dao are already know by them, may know even more if the sect is conspiring with the rogues.

I think it’s obvious that He Gang is projecting and is really jealous of the MC, after the latestQ/A, I think it’s clear that He Gang was forbidden from killing or attempting to kill MC for now. It’s quite obvious why he’s being so childish and trying to rile MC up. Her play definitely involves MC doing something with He Gang and devouring him or something. The obvious “oh you think you’re special” the rogues obviously were bragging about the MC and thought highly of Wu Heir, and probably made him so angry.

How much more content and how much time do you guys think is left before the end of the first book? I can see there being another arc after the tourney which sets up the events for book 2. There is also some routes which arent completed yet, content for Xiwen, Ruo, Tigress and Caihong are relatively sparse compared to Ai and Mei, so theres that. There's free roams without Arena matches so maybe Niki plans on adding some there. All this could easily take another year and probably more.

There's still some spare small content like that 3 ways to make money and post tourney and probably we promote to envoy or enforcer when we reach X (Qi refining)

We should be towards the end if I remember correctly and probably will go through and add more content to the Wip stuff, but I would expect more content from Caihong, Ruo, and maybe Xiwen. Maybe small interactions, but he’s said Ruo, and Caihong are slow burn romances. So do not expect Ai, Mei type content from those two at least. I can see Tigress getting more content added. Plus I can see Xiwen getting more interactions. I think it could be saved for book 2, since a big part of book 2 is the rogue war

Alot, might not even finish the book this year. There's still much to be added to plot and background and let's not talk about the fact that niki keeps adding new characters to book 1

I dont usually mind but last update ended on a high note and there's also the fact that niki will be working on jinlai from may for who knows how long. Its also a good thing tho, wouldnt do any good if niki is creatively exhausted writing poma especially when the story is at the point where it is.

Yeah I understand, but that’s just how media has been, releases a filler episode after a big event or even during a big event lol. Also you misunderstood he’s already working on Jinlai btw last time I seen he was at 15k words, he’s working on it on the side, and expects chapter 2 to release in April. He’s not going to be switching over to it fully. Yeah I figure he’s probably tiring out a bit on poma it’s about to be 3 years straight at the end of the year. I expect after book 1 is done we won’t get book 2 wip for a long time tbh.

Literally anything, for example: Would the child MC still have been beaten by the Wu children? MC would have defeated the tigress in the first tournament with one punch and had a real chance against Ruo (without needing to advance)? Would MC currently be completely invincible to all PHs? Maybe beyond?

Story mode automatically pass stats checks no matter how high so he could beat a god like the Sovereign or the Moon Goddesses as a child
