Path of martial arts: leaked sneak peaks, and discussing thread

I was wondering are we in a Wuxia game or a Xianxia game because we start with martial arts and honor and stuff but then mid game we suddenly transition to cultivation and supernatural stuff

This sudden genre change might muddle story too cuz of power balance between martial artists and cultivators is very much not the same and suddenly every martial artist we fight has a gimmick so that we just don't clap them because we are still going on the original outline of MC being a underdog and never being able to reach the top spot which made sense in early game but unlocking cultivation should have had us not losing to random martial artists who have no idea about chi shooting us with arrows

unironically all you said is why i've been burned off POMA. that and the RNG is so annoying to play through

looking at other WIPs now and I've been having a blast. seems like theres a fair few creative guys coming up with decent looking fight mechanics: Beyond the Gilded Veil, Aura Clash, Below the Skyline, Wild Hunt... Just a shame I have to wait so long for updates cuz I'm hooked :LOL:

Eh nowadays some just mix eastern fantasy together at this point. They throw in Xianxia and Wuxia mix now. Pretty sure that’s how we ended up with the Xuanhuan sub-genre. I still think Poma is mostly Xianxia with some wuxia elements. Aura clash would be more Wuxia, you can tell the difference between both worlds and how they cultivate. Guess I used to read lots of cultivation novels so I’m used to stories going off and becoming quite different after certain events.

Same, friendship ended with poma now aura clash is my best friend.

I get the feeling that poma has been slowly getting more downbeat and dark just for the sake of it (like someone is pulling the strings to make wu heir suffer more and more) and hey maybe thats part of niki plans but shockvalue after shockvalue Just made me lose all interest or care, will give It a chance after some months or after the release of book 1 but for now im out.

Anon cooks the only problem I think he has is he's limiting the elements mc can have in his lifetime to just 2
I hope there's a mod that let's us have all

5 paths (6 if you count the demonic one) are already to many to write adding ore elements will just bloat the enemies only 2 thing at least makes the enemies fun

Yeah I get it'll be alot to write forgot to add that 😅

Plus having monkey God in ac teach us is really nice and we get to help ourselves with cunning not some bs like other cultivator and gods that turns weaklings to overpowered characters like in poma🧘‍♀️

It's not even the bullying of the MC imo. AC is just fun to play as a game. POMA is either a masochist exercise or a cakewalk difficulty wise and neither are rlly fun to me.

Also you need to go like very specific routes in building your character to win the fights. Same issue I had with Mike Walter Lucid games (The Last Heir) cuz you had to get an answer sheet from someone else to get through the game instead of experimenting and seeing whats cool for you and enjoying the experience. Ya follow?

Yeah, i didnt comment It because yall already said it, playing in mortal/trash difficulty its repeating the same old steps because anything else is not optimal and if youre not min-maxing you lose and losing is no fun at all.

Yeah, last heir has to be the book i restarted the most in my life. It has been 10 years almost. Crazy
