Yup I’ve been saying for a year he’s been slowly getting burned out of it. Once the second Wip hit I knew he wanted to try something else, first the e sports game that he never went back to. Now his new one is alright I preferred the other, but I think he’s in for a bit of shock because I don’t think jinlai will have as much support as Poma. It’s understandable tho, it’s been like 3 years straight with almost monthly updates consistently for 2 of the years. That's js what I think tho
Agreed, I remember being so hyped with the TW reveal, thought mc will be so special then he started glazing Ruo. Idk feels like MC being the only real cultivator in the world but nope. I really don’t know why we couldn’t it’s not like MC would’ve been OP. Nothing would’ve changed either.POMA is still my favorite WIP, but I confess that I no longer have the same interest in it as I did, say, one or two updates ago. I think it's because POMA is deviating too much from what it "was meant to be", at least in my eyes. I think the story should be about a cultivator in a world of Martial Artists, how he would grow to surpass his peers, reach the top of the world and eventually leave it. However, now the MC isn't even the only cultivator around anymore, with at least four others present in the world, with predictably more and more appearing (by conversion from MA to cultivator, or from other worlds). In addition, there are simply too many beings wanting to kill, use or suppress the MC, beings that the MC won't be able to challenge any time soon, probably not even at the end of the last book. Not to mention the supposed rival who keeps gaining advantages undeniably for the sake of the plot.
Ll(Warning, it will be pretty long post)
I have 2 big problem with POMA. First is MC, second is Ruo. To better understand what I mean, I would like to compare with how it done in Aura Clash
Thundefaller is proactive, many actions is his initiative (and also player). He grows not only in strength, but also in fame and clan power. He really feels like powerhouse in making (at least to outer province's). On other hand, Wu heir is very passive and reactive. There hardly any action that Wu heir do by his own initiative. Also we greatly grew in strength, but Nicky hardly show it, sometimes feels like he afraid to make MC look powerful. Wu heir from great clan, but it would be better if he was from minor or was peasant. Whole Wu clan feels ridiculously useless (no money, no influence, no interesting characters (beyond Wu Chao)), honestly feels like Wu clan was created yesterday and simply have nothing. And Wu heir also do nothing to change this, no alliances or connection with others forces. MC have anomaly powers and he is one of prime candidate for Shangtian (in eyes of most POMA characters), but nobody really care about it, like everything Wu heir do is something ordinary to POMA world. Often feels like Wu heir simply stand still and doesn't develop at all.
Second problem is Wu heir rival, Ruo. Guy absolutely generic, no cool and complex personality, no creative powers, no interesting dinamic with Wu Heir and also no initiative (the only exception is Rogue hunt, which he fail spectacularly). And this guy supposed to be MC rival for 3 or 2 books (what a joke, arena one time characters feels better than Ruo in everything). In Aura Clash we have Jack, who also pretty generic character, but have more interesting interaction with Thunderfaller and show more initiative (his actions in Ebikowa is already more than everything Ruo do in whole book) and Jack appeared 3,5 times + he MC opponent only in first book. And better, Jack not only rival we have. Goro, Kagura, Brass tiger, Jahi, Leona, Taio. MC has interaction with everyone of them and they all different. In POMA we interacted with how many characters like this? Chu Muchen, Xiwen and Mo Long? (I don't count Su girl, Blood hunter and Yang Gan, because they either dead or will no participate in tournament if they interacted with MC). It feels like like tournament rivals just stepping stones for MC and Ruo, not real competitors. Nicky should have focused story not only on Ruo and Mei, because every time they appear I get "Seriously, it's you again?" reaction instead of getting intrigued. I hope with cousin content, Nicky lated add interactions with other tournament characters, but I very doubt Nicky would bother with them.
I really hope that Nicky do this for later character development, so we have contrast with first book and later, but this still a bad type of storytelling with character development not step by step, but in leaps and bounds in different books.
He will. Its still a wip remember(Warning, it will be pretty long post)

We're nearing the end of the first book. Unless there's a rewrite and complete mechanic overhaul for the umpteenth time this is it. No better time to criticize anything.I think you all are impatient. I agree things are less than ideal right now but i dont think it is as bad ad you guys say. Poma is a wip and it took years to get to this point and it will take years more to finish. Im actually excited to see where the tournament goes. If it helps Niki focus, id rather he take a break and probably work on the blank contents from the past arcs. After all we have our own lives and we wont notice the time it takes for updates. Besides im too invested in Poma right now to just lose interest. I like the characters, setting, lore and everything although there are more than few undesirables there.
You sure we're near the end? We're nearing the end of the first book. Unless there's a rewrite and complete mechanic overhaul for the umpteenth time this is it. No better time to criticize anything.
You sure we're near the end?
Pretty sure! This tournament and the incoming bout with Ruo is the climax of the story set up in entry tourney, we're at the peak of peak houtian facing off against top 20 people. You sure we're near the end?
Yes I remember a while back on tumblr he said we are nearing the end, probably in the 80s percentage wise from completion. He’s still going to go back and fix/add content I think after he’s done with main story, but we probably won’t see it until full releaseYou sure we're near the end?
The update will be 60k+ which would be the second biggest update in the game historyYup I’ve been saying for a year he’s been slowly getting burned out of it. Only behind a 70k update which like this one took more than one month. For comparison the previous update while faster was only 32k so it will probably actually at the same general paceThe update will be 60k+ which would be the second biggest update in the game history
