Did you not read the part where yang bohai catches the wisp if you let it go? Letting it go won't do anything
If you get a high charisma you can persuade bohai to let it go and you can also either intimidate or persuade everyone else to let it go. So i'll say there's a chance for the wisp to walk out free. As i don't think that niki will give the option to let it go if he don't actually intent on letting it go

Yeah, for sure the protagonist will turn into a demon when he ascends to Qi Sea, because right now we’re in a poor world. If we were in a rich one, he would’ve ascended much faster.

In just six months he reached the peak of Houtian — from a coma to a monster. When he reaches Qi Sea, where he’ll have his own internal Qi foundation and won’t depend on external energy, his growth will be insane.

I’m almost sure that in the second book, after reaching Qi Sea, there’ll either be a time skip or he’ll face enemies far stronger — because no one can match a freshly ascended Qi Sea cultivator.

Most likely, though, a war will break out — and during that war, we’ll kill many powerful enemies. The protagonist will mature a lot through those battles. His Golden Seed will probably evolve into a Golden Sprout. That’s when things will start getting really interesting.

You are new to the POMA right? That last part of your text said it all

Today, I bring sad news, at least for poor souls like me who insist on playing Mortal and do the impossible to have an OP MC even with obstacles in the way... Nicky plans to nerf Martial Sovereign, reducing the economy from 50% (which I already consider insufficient) to 25%. According to my friend, Niky plans to increase the weekly Qi by 30% to compensate... Now, maybe I'm crazy or things have changed in the latest beta, because I remember the weekly Qi being only 15, so this plus 30% is only 20 (19.5) weekly Qi. How does that compensate for anything?

The justification was: "I just want MS (Martial Sovereign) to not be so mandatory........"

I believe he did something like this a few months before too. He increased item costs and increased Qi per week to compensate. You're saying he's doing something like that again?

Did he say anything about lowering spell Qi costs in general? Surely he realizes that that's by far the main contributor for Martial sovereign to be so mandatory.

Regardless I don't think you should be too worried about being unable to make a strong MC. Winning by having high stats is just better than using spells in general.

I played it again, yeah, we can't kill chu muchen, only put him to sleep, damn plot armor. I'm having way too much fun at being a body refiner. I'm glad nicky changed that exchange with yue fang, where we almost broke our entire arm trying to punch him, now we can not feel a thing while he is surprised at our strength. It still makes sense for him to be stronger given his background, but not for long.
Wait wtf, why would you punch yuang fang ?

I was a Mortal adventurer like you once, then I got a Heavenly Difficulty in the knee.

60 qi per week AND you get to mostly skip the dogshit new pill system where you almost never get a +1 in the pavillion and have to spend half of your day savescumming.

Nicky should just lower the qi cost, i remember 60-80 Qi cost for spells in the arena, infusion also gets auto-spend in fights so you end spending double or triple what you expected.

Are there any games that have fight scenes like Broken Fables. POMA and AC are good, but I need more.
I know some, mostly fantasy:

-the wight king
-within your eyes
-vendetta (few and far in-between)
-vampire the masquerade: night road

There's some more but its more of magic fights instead of hand-to-hand and weapons, let me know if its your thing.

If costs were a tenth of what they are it would make sense not to take MS. But they aren't so...
To be fair this whole martial sovereign system is a mess, old options that used to be covered by it arent anymore, like when we can gain our followers by punching with the gs, then there are times when it clearly should cost more qi but its still costs only 1 like in the fight with yu yeong (nimble feet girl)

Idk if its some hidden mechanic, bugs or just the version that im playing that is old but its certainly strange.
