We can already resist the nascent soul guy with Charisma. Why not just have it be the universal defense?

In my view, something interesting to be added would be an proper attribute for Soul/Mind as there's one for Dao.
As he already implemented in the narrative that you can train you Soul/Mind even below NS with proper arrays and purposefully receiving Soul damage to "rebound your Soul stronger".
So as we'll start to train this aspect with LB now would be good for him to implement something to this like. Which, of course, a player with Iron Will must have plenty benefits.

Anyway, watch me purposefully getting any possible Soul damage from now.

Because we're supposed to be directly training our soul from now.
So unless training our Soul turns to be a completely irrelevant thing, or training our soul increases CHR(?), I think it'd be good to implement a new mechanic.

Or at least create a tracker for how the player is doing to what regards it, if the player is training in the Arrays with LB, if the player is receiving Soul damage and recovering from...etc.

Yeah, I've always found the whole Charisma thing really weird. In my opinion, it should be something like Mind/Will, and Cariama should just be the Beauty Talent. Like, someone with a strong will can control their emotions and expressions, making them a good liar and/or able to influence those around them, with the added bonus of being resistant to mental attacks and stressful situations.

Charisma doesn't have enough uses to justify an additional mind stat guys, we're already using perception for Wu heir not being a complete moron. I don't think a willpower stat would benefit the game.

Then again, I'm on the side that we should just resist stuff with our base qi power stat or something. Since going to the beauty parlor helping me steel my mind doesn't make sense.

I mean, if I can't rebuild it myself with Qi/Dao, or if LB don't gave us some stock with these vials, then it may difficult things a bit.

I know, but it doesn't make sense at all. You're Soul tempering with Body Refining? Even if charisma isn't a bodily aspect as it comes from the human will/rationality, I imagine CHR should be strictly tied to socialization abilities rather than making it encompass will.
Rhetoric, charm, beauty itself, you could even correlate it with cognitive capacity, together with PER, as cognitive capacity/Intelligence still is a Bodily aspect differently from will.
