There's nothing to be done, Ruo simply has too many advantages from the start. But in the end, it's just a moment of glory. The poor guy is doomed to struggle to be, at best, second place in his mediocre world.Except for the fact it shows ruo is better

Honestly, I wouldn’t even be surprised if the MC just ended up dying in the end without even managing to escape this world. But maybe I’m being too pessimistic about the MC.
Same I liked it better than jinlai, but it was gender locked male so guess he decided to make jinlai instead.

Niki will make an arc where MC loses cultivation temporarily and we switch POV to Ruo but it’s just a prank don’t worry. In all seriousness idk I can see it going multiple way’s I don’t think it was said just as a throwaway.
Maybe he's referencing to the devil outbreaks? The more MC loses, the more they could experience them. It cripples the soul and stuff like that ig. Could also add up to the latest sneak peek where everyone is shocked and concerned over MC's.

I don’t think he was referring to the DB since he specifically asked if we fought in the arena and if we took a lot of damage. Then he told us something like to be careful because every battle/damage we take leaves marks that seem imperceptible but, in the long run, the body doesn’t fully recover. That’s how I remember the dialogue going, though I don’t recall it word for word.
