Ruo fight against 6 rogues, and Yang Gan against Song and two rogues (MC just stand and do nothing) . Ruo quickly beaten, Yang Gan also losing. Then Gan use his Buddha art to hold rogues and use some sort of illusion on MC to allow Ruo escape. When MC get out of it Gan and rogues disappear, Ruo already escape (and become enemy to MC). Later events no different from just having bad relationship with Ruo (pretty sure he even not mention Rogue hunt)
So Ruo's just angry cuz MC decided not the help him? He doesnt know the MC's heritage in that route i believe. But why does he keep silent about this? Is he so arrogant to think he'll let us get strong and kill us himself in the future?

His grandpa will tell him regardless if you go on that route or not and yeah it's arrogance or tsundure love depending on your character relations with him

Yichen only tells him about the TW stuff doesnt he? You're saying Yichen knows we're a Zhong but still hasn't killed us yet? I thought Yichen doesn't know our mom was a Zhong.

I'd like to know what the criteria for advancement is, for Martial Artists, I refer to natural. I mean, it's clearly not something like "reaching the limit of the body", because the MC can become an EH and an MH without having reached such a limit, and there are many PHs with stats below 5k. Nor can it be something like accumulating the maximum amount of Inner Energy, because IE is based on stats.

As for Xiantian. In Yang Chen's book, he says that less than one in ten thousand advance to Xiantian and that "enlightenment" is necessary. But there are so many random Xiantians around the game and most of them just seem like average EXs, none of them seemingly top 10 absolute geniuses or close to it. It's hard to imagine that such people have reached enlightenment while Yang Gan and similar have not.

I think it will be different depending on the person, like for MC I think the dreams and understanding Dao more will be the process. Well basing off cultivation that’s what it usually is, one thing is you’re thinking too deep imo becoming enlightened has different meaning. Like the MC helping the spear twin become enlightened, basically I think it involves an higher comprehension of something. Like you said they aren’t geniuses and some will be forever stuck at EX and etc. There’s probably different requirements for certain people, I’m thinking Ruo forming his Dao will be what starts his since he’s already forming Aura. I think MC will be the dreams which sucks, but they are starting to be about real cultivation.

For Houtian stages advancement Niki said "depends on the realm/stage
in Houtian, it's simply physical training and 'hoping' your body decides to advance (difficulty decided by blood purity; 'advancement' can be delayed, if you want to max out stats and stuff)"

For advancement to X he said we need to fully comprehend aura not just being able to form it like BH can. Could be different for us since we are actually a cultivator

For Yang Gan it's simply a matter of age.

There is a variable that tracks how many qi the mc has gotten in total. (spending doesn't matter)

In the dream event, it's this variable that decides how much the stats go up, not the limit. If I'm not mistaken, it's total_qi*10. In other words, if your MC has absorbed 80 Qi over the course of the game, all stats go up by 800, not counting talents and perks. Of course, the limit is still 15k.

It could still play a part in our advancement
