I wonder when thunderfaller gets better style advancement attacks how the fight would be balanced, he already has either time manip, clone techniques ( either from style or by being a monkey yokai) and various random power up like the last dream etc
Also ignoring the corrupted MC who has his whole domain to train in and can learn crazy powers

Yes I agree, should’ve waited for both updates tbh since we’ll get some action in AC and power up from next Poma update. The biggest thing imo is the Devil scale and Thunderfaller needs to essentially kill Wu Heir twice. Biggest advantages is as you’ve said Style skills they can unlock and I’ll probably go back to it after I see the difference in a few weeks when AC updates. It’s just sucks because one of their key skills in the elements is practically useless against Wu Heir.

I do agree with some of the AI points it also highlights how utterly non-strategic PoMa MC can be but his way of fighting is very accurately described.
He starts on the defensive,using his durability to take the damage (LDQ,Blood Hunter)
The enemy starts to become known to him and use his Golden Seed which is basically an AI to start to turn the point (DES,SES)
And then it either ends in a dog fight(Blood Hunter),a unique attack(Long Chen) or a barrage of one.
Thunderfaller could have an edge if he gains more experience and unique skills.
Regarding the greatest feat of the MC of POMA, you are all absolutely wrong (just kidding, nothing absolute, but almost), it's not surviving a hit from Shangtian, seriously injuring LC while being two stages below, or even being hugged by Caihong and not dying.
No. MC's greatest feat occurs during the fight against DES, more specifically if you choose the "Void Tansformation". When the Squad uses the formations and somehow summons lightning from the sky, MC was able to react to the speed of the lightning (not that he was as fast, just that he could react in time to teleport, several times). Of course, in the "Elemental Transformation" he can also react, only he didn't do it multiple times, so it could be argued that he "read the intent" of the DES.
Of course, it could also be said that the "summoned lightning" isn't as fast as "real lightning" (which I doubt, it makes more sense for the strength or lethality to decrease, not the speed), but even if the speed is only half, a fifth or even a tenth of the real thing, it's still an absurd feat. And, unlike the others, measurable.

POMA is not really cultivation game despite being a Xianxia. I played a lot of cultivation game and they always have hundreds of skill and techniques to master from other clans you either steal or barter. And it's understandable, it's almost impossible to code all of that into an IF. It's why I'm so impressed with the author of AC. Like how are they even managing to do all that

Though most of them are wuxia, there as xianxia too. But I can't recommend the ones I played personally. Most of them has the setting to be xianxia but gives the MC strength of an MC of wuxia. Just horrible to play.
