I don't doubt that he's a bit stronger than the MC (of course, I know he's got most of his powers suppressed) but I think that attack he used was more of a 'borrowed power', from the Moon Goddess, something like what the guys from the Judgment Sect do with Karma and Heaven.
He is stronger than MC seeing how he was dodging their attacks easily, but I don't think the gap is big. And I agree with the borrowed power aspect. Besides, if that was his actual power, then he should have taken care of the havoc sect guys without asking for our help. Clearly he used that power due to us demeaning him and it probably has some kind of cooldown.

Not surprising with the direction the story is going, the only question here is if they will be the fuel for wu heir cultivation or Just make things harder.
I'm inclined to believe this is to keep the balance roughly the same (wu heir struggling to barely win fights against similar strength opponents) going forward as the MC gets stronger.
But maybe I'm wrong and we're finally moving forward from the fraud wu heir era. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic.
Bruh wtf is even happening anymore lol Wu Heir never becoming the strongest with more and more true cultivators appearing. All Wu heir advantages disappear I bet nothing unique or special. Also this the first time we got confirmation it was a dragon coming for Poma world because what Yichen did?
