One thing is certain: I will definitely not spend 10 Qi on my main save if it is possible to win while suppressed, since this seems like one of those situations where Martial Sovereign does not work.
Especially since niki can't be bothered to write crit checks. Whats the point?
Bro thinks Niki going to let him use asura lol. I just know he’s going to use some crazy stat checks for the people who don’t want to spend Qi. I’m familiar with his game.
Good point. Currently, even in normal mode, it is possible to have all stats at maximum depending on the route, so even with -5k, there is still 10k left. In addition to Asura (which can currently increase stats by up to 9k), there is also the Power Bracelet (+3k), the infusion (which can increase stats by 40% of the base stats with the right perks and talents), and the Flesh Worm (+3k). That's a total of +19k in stats, +15k if you disregard the infusion, and that's not even counting the rings and talismans. There's a possibility that I may be forgetting something.
You guys have a skewed perception because of cheating. You can't get void infusion and asura both since they're different dao paths, and you can't get asura at all outside of bohais path. Taking the flesh worm and dqs path means you give up on the wu clan rebel mission and a lot of refinement points and xp meaning you're weaker overall.
If he is balancing around mortal (as he should, or at least earth) then the checks will be way lower than 20k, maybe even than 15k. Theres a lot of 10-12k checks in the tourney for example where you're expected to be weaker than 15k.
And if you consider that virtuous elemental mcs have no way of boosting their stats besides normal 10-20% infusion then it gets even more likely he won't make minimum checks that hard.
That's where you're wrong, @justindeed . Even without the refinement points, the MC is still stronger with the Flesh Worm, as it adds +3k to various stats, all ignoring the limits. And well, as I mentioned, even excluding infusion (which is where cheating comes in) and the Power Bracelet, it still adds up to +12k. What's more, there are already several stat checks at 15k, and several above 15k, even some at +17k.
Ok but that is still one specific path (dq son bohai disciple). And if you get into the DES fight stat decreases and all the xp you lose its even less likely you can recoup it to 15k in stats between the fights.
All that just for Wu Heir to struggle in story because it’s all not canon imagine if it was smh. Even if we win this I bet they still won’t have us top 5 ranked knowing Niki He Gang will get the credit for the win
Yes, I don't have many arguments for this. I mean, you gain 25 Qi and 5,500 EXP after the fight with DES, but that doesn't make up for the lost stats, which total around 28k (28k in EXP) if I'm not mistaken, and unfortunately you can't spend gold at the infirmary to recover them.
By my estimates, you should be able to accumulate a maximum of 13k to 14k in EXP until 3v3, including the 5.5k mentioned. (Not including bonus EXP from Talents, Perks, Items, and any events that Nicky still plans to add)

Its not possible to have asura and tri-dao? and elemental is strong, at this point i should have 30+ stacks of it so 30+ failed checks passed automatically, honestly in terms of mechanics and stats its easy to win, the writing that is the problem.
But in this whole discussion i agree with @God, nicky will throw bullshit regardless of your stats lmao.

Everything seems to point towards the tournament starting the war (LB asking for MC to cripple/kill Ruo in the tourney, for example).
What I want to know is if there will be a Prime Disciple, or even a sect after this. The elders are clearly in cahoots with the rogues.
You can if you go down the body path, but you can't get 100% void infusion unless something very wacky is happening/you're cheating. You're clearly not meant to have both.
And yeah my issue is mainly the lack of crit checks. I don't want the game to be HARDER. Like jesus its already hard enough, I'm cheating talents and starting xp on mortal or playing on earth just not to stress myself out.
