It's just stupid game design. 90% of the fun in this game is measuring up your stats to the other characters in fights. I don't want to be hit with crit checks in the 30s fighting against a PEAK HOUTIAN lol. Aura Clash handles JDF much better.

I'm going to start a Mortal game when I find the time for the grind hell that is this game. Pity because I wanted to duo cultivate and roleplay a stronger, prodigy character.

have to say my only criticism for this update is that the encounter with yue yan feels a little off. with yan's brother we met him a few times and there's some banter between our character and him before we actually get to have qna session with him. we just met yue yan and already we're bombarding them with questions. don't know how everyone else feels but to me it feels a bit off. makes yan feels less like a character and more like a plot device

In a way, yes. After the 3v3, the MC hears whispers in the Arena, people commenting on things like "how is he so strong?" or "if he had time, he would be in the top 10," etc. There's also Ruo, who gets a little off if you beat him in the "confrontations". One guy even comments that Tang Ruo doesn't confront the MC because he doesn't dare, but he is threatened by other disciples shortly after.

i'll also add more to this that the questions we get to ask yue yan feels less like question wu heir would ask and more like questions us readers want to know the answers to. the whole encounter just feels odd.

I feel like it's missing some dialogue and a few of the options there should be blurred out depending on the route you're taking.

I couldn't believe it when my Earth save was hit with a 90 stat check in strength in the Haoran event lol. Had to backtrack because I had no talismans/rings after the 3v3 and was like 2 points off.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one here who noticed this, but when you talk with Yue Fang the second time around and get to ask him questions they aren't gated behind anything. One of them is about Lady Butterfly, who MC very possibly doesn't know anything about if they've been avoiding the rogues. Except for maybe a very vague hint from the Dreamweaver dream and Monkey God training event.

This also happens in the new conversation with Yue Yan, so it seems that small detail slipped past Nicky as well as the beta testers and premium people...

Yes, but it is nice to know that MC with 100 is "considerably" superior to Ruo, except in agility (being only slightly superior), which is apparently one of Ruo's "main advantages." The problem with this is that he still has the lizard transformation and is still LH.

Speaking of stats, regarding that manual that "He Gang" offers, Nicky is considering the option of making it possible to obtain one (probably different) from Butterfly, for players who refuse tri dao.

One thing I learned today is that my main save is cooked. That Wu Heir was not on any of the paths so yeah…. I’m curious how far that playthrough will get with zero interactions with any other character tbh.

Yeah I don't mind the Ruo stat checks being that high...well there's still a problem of her getting even stronger as a PH, which is surprising because I thought Nicky said Ruo fight stat checks wouldn't go past 100 or at least not by much.

Isn't everyone going to get Tri-Dao eventually? Also I thought we'd also all get manuals soon due to Tang Wei.
