Path of martial arts: leaked sneak peaks, and discussing thread

I can imagine it all started with a "Thank you for your purchase! Brother!" Then progressively the shop owner got more and more concerned about what we've been doing with these treasures but can't do anything about it, we're his best customer and he's been upselling these to us at a 1000% markup already...

"B-brother Wu, I think this is the 50th robe you've bought only today. Why do you need this many?"

"Don't ask unnecessary questions."

Funds -5000.
I mean if you think about it, between all the pills and robes they buy, non-story mode Wu Heir is holding the entire sect economy on their back.

The moment they stop buying **** is the moment the Alchemist and Treasure Shop see a sharp drop in demand. Then they'll have to scale back production to meet this new reality, so that's less money for production, people will get fired and unemployment will rise among the servants, and less money on the sect economy means there'll be knockback effects on stuff like restaurants/taverns and such too.

(None of this detracts from the fact we should be able to purchase these robes in bulk. Like seriously.)

And by god, using pills as a mortal sucks. Nicky needs to refine that feature and make it more convenient asap. It's awful losing pills you don't benefit from because "Muh purity, Muh pill bar happened to overflow"

Also why is the paragon and overlord talents still just a joke? +3 increase? It should be at least +10 and carry you to the next "stage".
That's why without Pristine you need to expend a huge value of money with pills(Also calculate Impurity).
You can call me crazy but... After my last Saint Trash run I'd comfortably say Pristine is overrated, Dao Eyes is genuinely the greatest talent in the current system. Because the Impurity is just a real problem in the very early-game post coma, mid-game if you calculate Impurity correctly it'd be already stabilised.

The others I agree, Nicky must rework on some aspects, the most urgent, of course, adding the ****ing perceptions pills in the Alchemy pavillion because I just can't anymore 😭😭😭
Also reworking how the Martial Sovereign works on the spell cost reduction(If you're unaware, currently the MS work after the reduction of Dao level, not before, for example; A Spell costing 100 with your Dao level being 15, it'd reduce to 40, then the effect of MS, reducing to a final 30. This turn MS nearly trash to spells that are on the "mid-range" of cost. If it worked before, for example, the cost would go from 100 to 75 and then 15), and others. But the book is very, very far from over, so we can expect these things being corrected in the future.

Currently alchemy shop is just a nightmare tbh. You can't see your current stat, pill bar OR corruption. If you're feeling bold and bought 10 pills your character can end up not getting anything and only eating them for the heck of it.

It's bad design, one I hope is already planned for a revisit. We need guardrails at the very least.

I never learned how spell costs worked before you mentioned them btw lol

How does Dao Eyes compare to like the Dao EXP amulet?
Dao-Eyes is a 1,5x multiplier over any Dao EXP gained while the Amulet of Wisdom is a 1,3x Multiplier. Both together form an 1,8x Multiplier.
The wisp in Mortal diff, for example, gives 500 base Dao-EXP after absorbed, using both things it increases to 900. LB lectures from 250 to 450...etc.

This in heavenly is completely broke by the way, because in the Dao-EXP recalculation both multiplier work(Difficult multiplier and the 1,8x) in the diff that already has multiplied the Dao EXP gained. — Talking about Chao Event if you didn't accepted Tri-Dao before.
For example(Using my case that I explained before), my Dao level was 33 in the event with 10.754 Dao-EXP accumulated, after the recalculation in Heavenly this number, first, received the 3x Multiplier from the heavenly diff, going to 32.262, and then the 1,8 Multiplier(Amulet & Dao-Eyes), going to 58.071, skyrocketing my Dao-level to Tri-Dao level 38...

Some of our kills still give no Qi by the way. I think this is something Nicky should be more careful about keeping consistent.

I didn't realise the dao stuff had interactions like that. I thought it would only impact the free roam gains and therefore useless. I'll experiment with them when the game is in a more polished state.

Actually now that we're talking about dao and **** how does spell power works? Qi power obviously factors into it but I have no idea how the game calcs it.
