God, I don't understand what's the point of that at all. If an Early Xiantian (not even middle) has a stat cap of 200, what's a Shangtian gonna be? 10000? 100000? What was the point of reworking the stat system with lower numbers if the growth between stages is still going to propel them into oblivion?
Also I don't understand the need to cap stats at 150 at all - like if you offer the tools to reach higher stats what's the point of limiting players, especially non-cheat mode players, in seeing how far their efforts brought them?
It even messes with the lore. According to this new info - a bum ahh weakest constitution EX can just stand unphased against the Spear Twins prepped ult without doing anything else (116 con check vs 150 lowest EX con). Like what's the point of that? The differences between stages make no goddamn sense at all stat wise.
There was a statement somewhere in the book that Ruo's sword art thing can injure and maybe kill EXs, which now means that Ruo has an attack (and has had it for a while too) that has what, AT LEAST 150 attack power comparable to con? Or worse - that it just blasts through any kind of defense? What's the limit then? Can this attack of his injure a Middle or Late Xiantian? If no - that means that there is actually a limit where constitution alone would block it entirely and that that limit is at least 200. If yes - that's just ****ing ridicolous. What's next, a Shangtian?
In Niki's pursuit to make his game and world consistent, he's made it become entirely the opposite. If the previous statements hold any weight (like the fact that PH have a natural limit of 50 and an unnatural one of 100) it wholly devalues the whole genius concept of any S-tier character except the MC, Ruo, YG and maybe a few others.
Could have seen it coming from the Wisp fight tbh. It was comparable to a WEAKENED EX, and the MC couldn't do anything to it except press it into the ground a little, even if your stats were all 120+.
By this point honestly I think Niki should just stop for a moment and redefine what means what in his world. Because he's always grinding and writing I get the feeling that he writes something first, releases it, and then looks back and goes "Hmm, maybe I made the MC too powerful. Should redefine the whole scaling now. Not Ruo ofc, can't have his dick leaving my mouth."

I won't say it's a bad change until we see how the system works properly, but so far it seems like it's needlessly complex tbh. I prefer how it was before where you could easily track your progress with EH-MH-LH-PH-Pseudo-X-EX.
Like @any name u wish says, this tier stuff doesn't mean anything from what we've seen so far.
That's not to say it's just obfuscation. This could lead to some interesting build variety IF it's done properly, but I have very little faith that niki will develop something like that and not end up with how things were before the rework where a few stats were goated and everything else sucked to different degrees.

Pretty sure there isn't, friend. At least from what I read and remember. But even by using logic, if Ruo Art was already standing at EX level, YG(Who still physically inferior to a average EX by Niki own words) wouldn't simply walk out of most part of Ruo's attacks. Or be so easily disregarded by current Wu Heir(Even though we can match probably near half the power of a MX all-out based on Chao's event)...
NOW, in a statement outside the book Niki indeed confirmed Ruo could hurt/kill a standing still MX using everything(Mostly artefacts. The statement is basically to show off how strong Ruo's gear truly is).
Besides that I agree with everything else, specially about the 116 check X 150 minimum cap comparison. Since the twins ultimate Art while fused was supposed to be strong enough to hurt a weak EX in old lore if I'm not mistaken(As the "bottom of X" was ~120-150).
