From the synopsis, it doesn't really sound like my thing, but a friend recommended it, so I hope I won't be disappointed.

Yes. Unfortunately, the MC is an idiot who would rather spend 80% of his time wandering around than training seriously. I mean, in the one scene where the MC seriously trains his Dao, he manages to: cast a spell that increases all limits by 10, develop a fire-based regeneration spell, figure out how to overcome spatial restrictions, and partially comprehend an Immortal-level technique.

Yeah. And I’m not even saying this is something that should be done, or that the protagonist should win everything with a flick of the fingers, and blah blah. This time, my goal is just to point out how stupid this is: the script needs an incompetent protagonist, otherwise there wouldn’t be a “final battle against Ruo.”

Bringing up the comparison with AC once again. Thunderfaller is like “every moment is an opportunity to get stronger,” whereas Wu Heir is like “fifteen minutes of meditation a day and a little stretching when I get out of bed are already too much".

Someone already said here, and I agree. Wu Heir in the book is a different entity to Wu Heir in Niki's imagination because there's no other explanation.

Funny that he isn't wrong, in theory, given our Dao Talent with COP isn't limited to TW's Daos/Heavenly Daos. So if Wu Heir wanted, in theory, he could grab a sword and humble Ruo on this game.
Maybe we can even extend the Metal Dao within elemental to incorporate these elements too, although Sword, Spear...etc are Human Daos and Elemental/Body/Space are Heavenly ones, we aren't limited as the heavens in the sense of not accessing human, I imagine.

Tang Wei was a newbie to cultivation though. Blood king probably hid a detail or two to prevent himself being surpassed. We're sort of in a better position on account of inheriting his more useful memories while skipping the emotional baggage.

Given the nature of spells like Realm Annihilating Fist, we probably lucked out on being born as a Wu bum who can't afford weapons and must rely on body. I like your idea with dao extensions, hopefully Nicky goes crazy when our energy reserves get insane. Our devil already uses blood tendrils and stuff no?

There are many parallels of TW and MC, specially if you are following the Ai route. Many are just taking for granted that TW is gone, without verifying and instead are choosing to race towards this God's grave to claim it for themselves. But somethings feels off, the memories, the dreams, the drops of sudden knowledge that goes beyond just being theseed, the soul being the same without the scars but awakening and growing, becoming more once again. I believe that TW is not truly gone as everyone would like and profit from, but rather, took a gamble, a final ploy or bet against the heavens after losing his divine spark. Memories and powers hidden away until the right moment, too early and the heavens could take notice and/or MC will just be a puppet and it wont work, trusting and letting go for this new incarnation to get to a stage where it can stand on its own and with this parallels, with maybe just the right amount of preassure to create a will, drive or obsession that matches TW, it could create something that TW may have opted to after seeing all his memories, his destroyed body, his shattered divine spark, his fall and betrayal of his lover. Something more than just a takeover as planned or inheretance like he did for the others, a real second chance at defeating the heavens, a true rebirth. Without the scars, without the mistakes made in his journey and most importantly maybe, without the chains of Karma that followed him. TW and MC, the one and the same, a new divine spark.

And Niki basically said that Butterfly isn't lying but Butterfly doesn't really know what she is talking about (when she tried to dismiss mc voices and memories thing as nothing that special and as something others will also get)
